The word on the street is:
We have tremendous feed back/concerns for the upcoming roundabout at the
Airport. The people are happy for the upgrade on their island, their concern is
that the majority person living in Sanicolas does work pass the airport, and the
traffic will be out of control for months .Some parents have their kids going to
playschool that’s latest time to pick them up would be 6pm, some parents
work until 5 sometimes 5:30pm making this impossible to do so on time with
the traffic that will have with all the detours. Now families have to put in extra
cash to get someone else to help out for months. Other options as “Word on
the Street” not only show the concerns of the people, but try to get some
solutions as well. Seeing that the government is taking these drastic measures
they should also step up and allow the workers to leave from work early, or
cover the extra so that the play schools stay open later to facilitate the hard
working parents.
The only person that has the power is YOU!

Sunday's announcements of the All-Star rosters didn't produce as many shocks for me as past years' rosters did, especially given that I've already accepted that the players and managers don't quite grasp the part about saves being a meaningless statistic. There were a few gross omissions, a few bad choices, but only a couple that should raise anyone's ire.
And, just to make sure we can get our usual batch of comments from people who didn't read the explanation in the intro, here's my philosophy on the All-Star Game. It doesn't count. It's an exhibition, a single night for MLB to show itself off to the country on national television -- and in a lot of other countries, as well. The biggest stars should be here. This should not be a list of the guys who had the best Opening Day-through-Memorial Day runs of anyone in baseball. It should include established stars, even if they didn't get off to the greatest starts this year. And there should be room for younger emerging stars, guys in their early 20s who have graduated from prospect status and are starting to perform up to (or even above) expectations. But the half-year wonders can wait until they prove it for more than just 60-70 games.

• 1 large onion • 4 tablespoons butter • 2 cups diced cooked chicken • 1 large tomato, peeled and chopped • 2 dill pickles, minced • 1 large green pepper, seeded and finely chopped • 8 large stuffed green olives, sliced • 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic, minced • 1 tablespoon capers, rinsed • 1/4 cup golden raisin • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard • 1/2 cup ketchup • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce • 1 cup chopped cashews • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, minced • 1 lb gouda cheese, sliced
Directions:
1.
Melt the butter over medium heat. Then add the onions and sauté until they turn a golden brown color.
2.
Stir in the rest of the ingredients, except for the cheese.
3.
Butter a baking pan and line it with slices of Gouda. Then pour the chicken mixture on top, and top with the rest of the cheese slices.
4.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, then put it under your broiler for a few minutes, just long enough to start browning the cheese.
