JULY 8-12 OUT OF THIS WORLD

This is a week of out of this world activities. Our journey begins with designing a spaceship. Where will that ship take you? We are making batik resist T-Shirts. An amazing “Cardboard Explosion” puppet performer* will visit. And then there’s the water rockets, alien costumes, cosmo dodgeball, moon pie making, space slime, and a UFO detection challenge. All astronauts, aliens and scientists will embark on a mission to Horizon Fun Fx for a moon bounce and tons of fun!

JULY 15-19 Time Travelers

Hop in the Gillam Grant Time Machine to explore places in the past, present, and future. Battle in the arena of Ancient Rome, capture wanted bandits in the Wild West and connect your mind, body and spirit in the groovy 1960’s. What was the stone age like? Jump back to the 1800’s and be part of the largest gold rush ever. We will take a trip to Genesee Country Village to explore life in the 19th Century. The Bread Man will visit to share “Hot Bread from the Oven, a Treasured Tradition.” So much to explore and only a week to do it!

JULY 22-26 SUPERHEROS

Superheroes of daycamp save the world. Stand for truth and justice. Fight crime and even save a kitten or two. Join The SuperCampers, an elite superhero action squad formed to defeat the rising force of evil. What will your superhero name be? What powers will you have to take on the superhero challenge? Can you handle making kryptonite candy and super hero slime? Be ready for some superhero science. All superheroes will report to Minnehan’s Fun Center to battle the mini-golf course and high speed go-cart challenge. Get your capes ready!

JULY 29– AUG 2 Country Fair

Who doesn’t like a fair? Everyone does! Our theme all week includes the fun of the country fair. Can you rope a pony? Have you seen Rosie the Chicken’s eggs? What can you make with a corn husk? We will explore all the sights, sounds and flavors of the local fair. Yummy S’mores will be a necessary treat. Create your own unique western hat. Participate in the marshmallow shooter contest! And hee haw, get in shape for the sack races. Take a trip to the Genesee County Park for some forest exploration. It’s going to be a wild week.

AUGUST 5-9 LIFE’S A BEACH!

Yes that’s right…. It’s beach week. Sand, crabs, jelly fish, shells, SUN, mermaids, dancing, sharks, beach games…. Oh my. This week is all about having a great time just like on the beach. We will make crystals on seashells, make some amazing beach art, have a bucket race, play musical towels, and build a sandcastle. And yes, we will be visiting the beach. All campers will have an amazing day at Hamlin Beach State Park.
