The street reconstruction project on McKaig Avenue includes a
new storm sewer crossing under the CSX line. In order to complete
this boring, CSX is requiring the Encroachment Agreement from the
City of Troy. This is a standard agreement that we have used
previously in another railroad crossing.
Staff is requesting that legislation be prepared to allow the
Director of Public and Safety to enter into the Facility
Encroachment Agreement with CSX. Staff is also requesting that this
be performed as an emergency so to allow the City to proceed with
the construction project as quickly as possible.
If you have any questions on this please let me know.
