Cater passed away the morning of July 13. Peggy Southerland (John) in the death of Peggy’s uncle James Morgan. SoPines UMC is beginning its first-ever GriefShare group led by new members Bill & Doris Russell, who have experience leading this group. GriefShare is a 13-week program of "help and encouragement" for those who have experienced a death of a loved one. The first meeng was 22-July from 6-8 PM in the Ezra Room — ending on 14-Oct. The sessions are non-denominaonal and have a 3 component design: video, small group discussion, and workbook. Each session revolves around a grief-related issue. While it is ideal to aend all 13 sessions, the meengs are "open meengs," meaning a person can begin aending at any me. Members will find comfort, answers, and hope in each session. Pamphlets and reminder cards are in the Narthex; there is more informaon on the website under 'Ministries,' or contact Bill and Doris (910-690-5234/ [email protected]).
