Standard 3Students will develop an understanding of their environment. Objective 2

Observe and describe weather. Observe and describe patterns of change in weather. Measure, record, graph, and report changes in local

weather. Describe how weather affects people and animals. Draw pictures and create dances and sounds that

Formation of Cumulus Clouds

Thunder and Lightning

Tornadoes

Cumulus clouds form thunderstorms or tornadoes when unstable air rises

The clouds grow into bigger, thicker clouds known as cumulonimbus clouds

The highest clouds, white and feathery, made of ice!

Cirrus Clouds
