JUKA ARAIKAWA / Born in 1984 in Yokohama, Japan, Juka Araikawa received a BFA in Art at the University of California, Los Angeles (2006). Araikawa works in painting with gouache and oil on canvas, watercolours, and monotypes on paper, capturing !gures in dream-like yet also uncannily familiar environments.

Araikawa’s solo exhibitions include Meet me in the middle, Kosice, Slovakia and Good Night, Youkobo ARTSPACE, Tokyo, Japan (2013). She has participated in group exhibitions at Galerie Lefebvre & Fils, Paris (2017); Lord Ludd, Philadelphia (2016); Institute of Contemporary Art Singapore (2014); Marc Selwyn Fine Art, Los Angeles (2009); and Black Dragon Society, Los Angeles (2008). She was selected for the 2013 European Capital of Culture K.A.I.R residency supported by Japan Foundation. Her work has been featured in the New York Times and Architectural Digest, amongst other publications. She lives and works in Los Angeles.

Dawn Ng is a multi-hyphenate visual artist, who has worked across a diverse breath of mediums, motives, and scale, ranging from text, illustration, collage, light, sculpture, to large scale installations. Her work primarily deals with time, memory, identity, and space.

Her latest series, INTO AIR, started as a benign curiosity about holding time in an ephemeral object like ice which then developed into a study on the metamorphosis of form, state, shape, and colour via the creation and disappearance of large sculptural blocks of frozen pigments over time. The series is a process of measuring hours, minutes, seconds, in solid, liquid, then air. It is a process of possessing time in some way. INTO AIR is then divided into bodies of work that look into the process of stopping, bending, and sieving time.

EKO NUGROHO /Eko Nugroho, who lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, is part of a fresh wave of Southeast Asian artists intent on forging a unique Indonesian visual language and avenue for expression, deeply rooted in themes derived from everyday life. Characterised by plurality and taking many forms, Nugroho’s practice investigates universal macro issues such as globalisation, political unrest, human existence, corruption, racial intolerance, and cultural value systems through a critical, yet simultaneously humorous and playful lens.

Nugroho has held numerous solo exhibitions across the globe. Recent solo exhibitions include Nowhere is My Destination (2019) at Artfront Gallery, Tokyo; Plastic Democracy (2018) at ARNDT Art Agency, Berlin; Lot Lost (2016) at Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney; Landscape Anomaly (2015) at Salihara Gallery, Jakarta; and We are What We Mask (2013) at Singapore Tyler Print Institute, Singapore. ENGGAR RHOMADIONIBorn in 1992, Enggar Rhomadioni is an artist who lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and mainly works in two-dimensional media such as painting and drawing. Rhomadioni graduated from Yogyakarta State University (UNY) in 2017. In his works, he explores the relationship between life events, the glories and the miseries, with human gestures and the remembrances.

These events and memories resulted in surreal paintings that can be reinterpreted by the viewers. Remembrances in his works are painted in the form of familiar object or memento which then triggers the recollection of different memories to each of the viewers.

Rhomadioni’s latest solo exhibition was RETRIEVAL in Artotel Wahid Hasyim, Jakarta, Indonesia. He has taken part in group exhibitions including Use Your Illusion, Edwin’s Gallery, Jakarta, Indonesia (2020); Convergence, Gajah Gallery, Singapore (2019); Kontraksi: Pasca Tradisionalisme (2019), and Rest Area (2017), National Gallery of Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia.
