Film Maker’s Home

This is my friend’s house located in Los Angeles. She is an independent film maker. She uses her apartment as a living and working space.

As a film maker and movie fan, she has got a collection of different movies such as American, Asian and French movies.

Some of them are produced by friends and others are her own.

HD TV and a set of DVDs

As a film maker professional, she gets inspiration from different sources such as music (the two records of West Side Story and The Wiz) and Art books. At the top of the ottoman she got personal projects. A box of scripts that she printed out couple days before my photo inventory.

In addition to filmmaking, she is a traditional artist which why she keeps a lot of arts, photography in her living environment.

Whenever she sees an attractive picture, she often inspired to draw it and paint it.

She uses several tools for her filmmaking projects. She believes that her Macbook laptop is one of the most valuable tools that she owns. On it, she edits video, writes scripts and creates animations using a variety of multimedia applications.

Her wacom tablet drawing tool is also very valuable to her. She uses it to draw directly into her computer to create animated short films.

She also uses a digital musical keyboard to compose music for some of her projects.

These are photos of a current project she produced called “Sule and the case of the tiny sparks.” It is a short cartoon for children that she worked on for several months with her twin sister. The story is set in an African village and has a positive social message for children based on the teachings of Nelson Mandela.
