JUEGOS DE MATEMATICAS INSTRUCTIONS TO PLAY “LA OCA” GAME (THE GOOSE GAME ) www.jesusjarque.com You can use this game to practice calculation, addition, subtraction, and multiplication. It is also very useful for learning multiplication tables. You need a dice and a counter for each player The player starting the game is the one who gets the highest number in the first throw. When a player stops in a square, he/she has to guess the result of the maths operation. If he/she knows the result, nothing happens and another player takes his/her go. If he/she doesn’t know the result, he has to go back to the closest square called “taller” (garage) and someone else tells him/her the answer. When he/she has his/her go back, he/she will play from the garage square. If he/she stops in a square with the drawing of a goose, he/she says “ from goose to goose and I throw because its my go” and the player throws again The player who gets to square number 49 first wins Given that the games are quite quick, you can use this game as the final activity of lesson It can also be of good use to give this game to families so that they can play at home
