• Maintained our strategic focus on Membership Achievement & Participation
– Focused on Business Processes & Organisational Capability
• Successfully transitioned to the IMG Online registration process
• Online for events – tournaments/NCAS/Awards Dinner
• BOM professional development & 3 functional groups (Referee/Tournament/Coaching)
• Industry & Peer recognition for Volunteer Management (NSW Sports Awards)

• NSW sent it’s largest team to the 2013 Nationals
• Support Team - 7 ‘head’ 6 Asst coaches + 2 Managers
• >185 Team members from 24 Clubs. >280 entries
• Additional categories – KYU Grades & Masters
• Still scope for increased participation – esp. Women
Strong performance at the 2013 Nationals was again key to our Achievements
• 2013 - our most successful year for total medals! – 105 medals (up from 86 in 2012)
• 30 Gold, 33 Silver, & 42 Bronze (2012 =G31/S23/B32)
• 63 v’s 54 Gold Medal Finals
– Only major state to increase our share +6% to 44%
– Dominated all Age Categories except SEN Men
• SEN Men finals 4 (v’s 2 in 2012) but structural weakness remains
• SEN Women increase
– Opportunity to increase medals through participation esp. Women
– Strong Club performances – Budokan 24, UNSW 20, Kido 10 • Tiger Do 8, Illawarra 7, Zenbu 6, Blacktown City 5, Bushido 5, Shinsei 5
• 15 out of 24 Clubs medalled.

• Major increases in Silver & Bronze – 2012: G31 – S23 – B32
– 2011: G23 – S21- B28
• VIC & QLD ‘flat’ (2012: VIC = 39 QLD = 30)
• WA – 3RD year retreat (2012 = 32, 2011 = 40)
• ACT - improved (2012 = 14, 2011 = 12)

International & Other Achievements
• Selections for World Title events - Cadets (8) , JM/JW (1), SNR Men/Women (2).
• 36 athletes selected for OJU - 12 Gold, 3 Silver & 8 Bronze
• 7 NTID athletes competed at 5th GANESA Cup (Indonesia) – Junior Men/Women 4G/1S/1B and Senior Men/Women 2G/2S/3B
• World Titles – Shiai - Naomi De-Bruine - 7th at Cadet World Titles – finalist NSW Sports Federation Awards
– Kata – Ernie Wakamatsu & Michael Griffiths (Kime & Katame), Steve & Jim Clifford (Goshin Jitsu)
• Referees/Officials continued improving their professionalism & skills. – International promotions - Rodney Moulder (Continental IJF B) Ernie Wakamatsu (OJU B)
– OJU and OJU World Cup – Ernie W/Lubo P/David F/Kristin M/Deepali M/Rodney M
– Other Internationals – Lubo Petr (Euro Opens), David Fuentes (Euro Opens and Sth America)
– World Kata Titles – Rob Ivers & Ivor Endicott Davies
• DAN Grades – 10 NSW judoka gained either their DAN Grade or promoted to the next level.
• 3 Sho-Dan, 1 Ni-Dan 2 San-Dan, and 4 Go-Dan
Increasing Participation in the Regions
• Central Coast AASC – Shane Alvisio & partnered with the ASC
– Judo NSW & ASC have invested in mats $10k
– 6 Schools (150 kids p/term) supported by ‘new wave’ young coaches
– 2 new PCYC clubs in discussion – Morriset & Bateau Bay
• Central Coast Championships – 2013 Invitational to demonstrate capability
