Components of Air spring Bogie (31 items)
PO on M/s. Maa Sarda, Raipur cancelled. RP action initiated.
Case is under TR.
Diesel Organization Non-availability of Truck Frames, TSCs and other spares as indicated in Annexure – 1 has affected the POH Cycle time. Assistance is required in this regard.
Crane Organization a) RC of 788 items (Essential for maintenance of 58 cranes over
Indian Railways as well as to tackle future increas ed targets considering increased population) may be finalised early. As there is delay in finalization of RC, requisitions pertaining to estimate No.F/CR/140T/New design/MLR/06 Nos. dated 01.08.2010 re-submitted to HQ on 05.12.11 needs to be processed early.
b) As per HQ/KKK’s letter No.MR-466/MLR 140T Crane dt.11.01.2012. Target for POH/MLR has been fixed as follow:
2012-13 07 Nos. of POH + 05 Nos. of MLR 2013-14 03 Nos. of POH + 09 Nos. of MLR 2014-15 07 Nos. MLR due of 2012-13
During 2012-13, Special MLR of 03 Nos. Old Design crane has been advised against existing coverage of materials for old design MLR proceeded by structural audit of RDSO, structural items like bogie side frames, bolsters, gallows frame, A-Frame & its legs, bridle & Jib stoppers too are most likely to be changed. The material required for Special MLR is different from material requirement of Normal MLR. Material Schedule available for normal MLR (old Design) is without Structural part (@ Rs. 3.5 crore/crane) whereas material schedule for Special MLR (Old Design) is under preparation including structural parts with expected cost of Rs. 5.08 crore/crane. Hence Special MLR of 03 Cranes as advice appears doubt full in the wake of preceding Structural Audit.

c) Decision regarding 140T Main engine Major Overhauling or D Check needs to be finalised (L/No.F/CR/140T/28/26 dt. 28.12.2011) so as to get adequate time for requisite formulation of uninterrupted POH contract with OEM.
d) Early supply of CWT’s from M/S Simplex Casting Ltd. Bhilai is required
to turn out the manufactured cranes.
e) RSP Proposal for stocking of Capital Spares required for maintenance of the Cranes working in various divisions needs to be sanctioned. However list of R.C items has been sent HQ and A & B category modified list has been sent to Rly. Board.
f) New acquisition 2012-13, RSP Proposal of 9 (for 140T) + 2 (for 20T) =
11 items to be used as unit exchange spares during POH/ MLR of 140T Crane, 20T Crane has been sent to HQ on 10.01.12 for further process by Railway Board. This needs to be sanctioned so as to reduce the POH Cycle time.
Special Issues of Attention
Augmentation of Medical Facilities
Hospital - Tie up of Jamalpur Railway Hospital with Patna based
hospital (Case forward to Railway Board through CMD ) For better treatment along with tackling of emergent needs, tie up with Patna based reputed hospital is a must. Concerned case file (No.H/ST/29/RS/Pvt Hos/2009) needs to be cleared at the earliest. Requirement of inspection of Patna based hospitals done by Jamalpur on 04.01.12 as per directives.
Posting of Supervisors against RRB indents
Posting against RRB indents needs to be cleared urgently. Filling of DR quota vacancies of technical supervisors (JE & SSE) – Mech (Workshop) as given underneath will be of great help.
Replacement panel is needed. Nos. indented on RRBs to be increased considering more than 50% non compliance.
