This chart will help you determine what mounts can fit on your specific machine to determine what type of options you have when selecting a tine. Also pay attention to a tine’s length. All machines are different. John Deere® machines can easily take a tine longer than 6 inches, but Ryan® has a recommended tine height of 4.5 inches. So if you plan to use a tine longer than the recommended height, please keep a close eye on the tines during aerification to make sure they are not creating a plowing effect in your soil.

CONVENTIONAL CORINg TINES
JRM offers a wide variety of conventional coring tine options to fit all of your aeration needs. We have standard tines made to fit most John Deere®, Toro®, Coremaster®, Jacobsen®, and Ryan® aeration machines.
We offer conventional coring tines in two styles, Premium and DILLENNIUM®. A premium tine is identical to the corresponding DILLENNIUM® tine in all respects except that it does not have our trademarked carbide tip. Compared to a typical OEM tine, a premium tine should deliver a minimum 300 to 400% performance increase. This is due to the design and quality of steel used. A DILLENNIUM® tine will give a 700+ performance increase as compared to a typical OEM tine. DILLENNIUM® tines are available in side-eject and top-eject versions, and all JRM coring tines are made of the finest available high-carbon alloy steel.
The longer use-life of a DILLENNIUM® tine will significantly reduce “down time” and also save on overall course maintenance costs. The most significant advantage of these conventional DILLENNIUM® tines may be that every core, from green 1 to 18, will be exactly the same length. This assures that the water and nutritional uptake is consistent from green to green. Course management therefore becomes much easier once you adopt JRM DILLENNIUM® tines as your standard coring tine. JRM offers a “use” warranty in addition to a quality warranty. You can view our entire warranty program on Page 44 of this catalog.
When selecting a tine for your Toro® and John Deere® aerifier, make sure you carefully check the mounting diameter and length to make your choices. With the introduction of the Toro® ProCore series aerifiers, both John Deere and Toro® aerifiers can accept a tine longer than five inches. For this reason, JRM offers a wide variety of longer tines suitable for these machines with additional core depth. Please note, that if you have an older model Toro® greens aerifier, any tine longer than five inches may not work on your machine and may cause turf damage.
Coremaster® tines are unique since they require a mounting diameter that is different from all other brands. Therefore Coremaster® tines are not interchangeable with tines from other manufacturers. The unique mount size has no effect on the tine design, quality, or use-life and indeed, all other qualities of the tines are identical to comparable JRM coring tines. CROSSTINES™ and quad tines are also available to fit Coremaster® machines.
The JRM Ryan® replacement parts are made to fit the GA 24, GA30, and GA60 aerifiers. In addition to our coring tines, many of the quads, solid tines, and CROSSTINES™ will fit all three machines. Please carefully check the mounting diameters and lengths to make sure the tines you order are correct. Most Ryan® machines will not accept a length longer than 4.5 inches. However, the GA60 will accept a wide variety of JRM tines specifically designed for your fairways.
JRM makes two DILLENNIUM® tines specifically designed for use on Jacobsen® machines. Since their introduction, these two tines have gained wide acceptance due to their exceptional cost/use-life. These tines should outlast comparably priced tines by a factor of two or three to one. We are also making these tines out of solid stock now and they will no longer have a welded shank.
Finally, our DILLENNIUM® lite tines are made of the same high-quality alloy steel of which our flagship DILLENNIUM® tines are made, but they have a slightly thinner wall. These tines are for the superintendent who demands the very finest possible cut and core quality. The use-life of these tines are not as long as our standard DILLENNIUM® tines, but it will produce the finest coring job available today and will certainly outlast other coring tines. They are especially useful on new or very soft greens with high sand or thatch content where aerification is problematic. They are more likely to pull a core, and the core itself is of higher quality with less compaction. All DILLENNIUM® lite tines are top-ejects, and cost less than a standard JRM DILLENNIUM® coring tine.

The Shark™ is a self-protection tool that proves to be a fistful of bite!
Designed by martial artist and self-defense specialist, Michael Joyce, of the Chen Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., The Shark™ was engineered and now manufactured by JRM, Inc.
The Shark was designed as a keychain, but it has a dual purpose as a means of self-protection. It is easily concealable, lightweight, and extremely durable.
The Shark™ can be a fearsome tool that can literally take a bite and fight out of your attacker. For additional information, go to chencenterstore.com.
The Shark™ is available in black or pink.
The Shark™ is to be used for self-protection only! Any other uses besides self-defense is strictly prohibited. The designer [Michael Joyce], ChenCenter, JRM, Inc., and associates accept no responsibility for injuries (including death) sustained or inflicted, or damage of any sort that may occur as a result of using this self-defense tool.

QUAD TINES
Quad tines are the smallest and least invasive coring tines available. Our quad tines are milled from a single rod for enhanced strength and longevity, and it also comes with a variable wall thickness for longer life. Quad tines are ideal for use during times of stress, or when a short grow-in period is desired. They may be used in standard mounting blocks (3/4”), or in the closely spaced “Quad Block” containing six or seven tines. The DILLENNIUM® quad provides at least twice the use-life compared to the premium quad.
Our standard quads are some of the smallest coring tines on the market, and are extremely useful when you are seeking a very minimal core. The SuperQuad™ tines come with a slightly larger outside diameter than our standard quad, and they have quickly been adopted by many superintendents as their “tine of choice” because of the exceptionally fine core it produces and reduced grow-in time required.
When JRM created the Magnum Quad™, the family of tines became an instant success. Overnight, customers were able to address the many unique needs associated with the new hybrid bent grasses. The Magnum Quad™ was specifically designed for de-thatching and maximizing nutrient/gas exchange. This was achieved with closer spacing and a larger core diameter. The DILLENNIUM® Magnum Quad™ offers the same robust tine as the premium, but comes with an enhanced carbide tip. This tip maximizes the value of the tine by offering consistent core depth and far superior quality. A DILLENNIUM® Magnum Quad™ should outlast a premium Magnum Quad™ by 200 to 300%.
The Magnum Quad Plus™ tines are the largest quad tine that we offer. After the quick success of the Magnum Quad introduced in 2004, we received requests for a new and even larger quad tine that would give greater coverage. The Mag Plus™ tines have an outside diameter of .612 inches for maximum coverage. No other quad offers a core as large with a possibility of 1x1 inch spacing. All Mag Quad Plus™ tines are made of 4140, high-carbon, alloy steel for strength and longevity.
At JRM, we are aware that every manufacturer has a different method of measuring the outside diameter of its product. We want to clarify how we measure ours, especially with our tapered ODs for our quad line.
We determine our OD based on the initial entry of the tine into the soil. Although the OD of the tine is larger toward the mount, and that width may make the hole larger initially, the hole will always shrink back down to the size of initial entry. We measure our OD at the tip right after we cut the stock for the part. It may seem deceiving by looking at the part with the naked eye, but after many field studies, we’ve determined this is the most accurate way to measure the outside diameter.

Mike Hard, Maintenance tecHnician, alpine country club in aMerican Fork, utaH“I initially ordered Jacobsen® [replacement] bedknives, and JRM is so much cheaper, and they hold up a lot longer too. And with the Toro’s [bedknives] that I’ve ordered, the price is more competitive, but the quality is much better with JRM.”__________________________________________________________________________________________________
rex Floyd, service Manager, nortH ridge country club in raleigH, nortH carolina“I have always been a staunch OEM guy, but after touring the JRM factory, I was so impressed with the operation that I had to give the [DUARANIUM-801®] bedknives a shot. To meet Jim (Merritt, JRM, Inc. President/CEO) and witness everything that goes into making bedknives from the coining process to the way they cut the steel, they look at every aspect of the bedknife to make it better. I see now why they can boast making a superior product.”__________________________________________________________________________________________________
dan lanning, Maintenance tecHnician, capital city club @ crabapple and brookHaven in georgia“With the JRM bedknives, I can set them up at .120” and get them right out on the course. When I get the mowers back in the shop, I don’t have to do any backlapping. I just grind them up and get them back out on the course. Our superintendent likes to keep our greens lean and mean. That would be a much tougher task without a JRM bedknife.”
