Gitty – I resolve to stop chasing Dale out of

the room and nipping at his heels! (And

also not to stop doing it when he turns to

look at me…)

Junior – In 2018, I am going to stop howling

like a wolf in the backyard and riling

everyone up to join the chorus. (I’m

working on howling like a banshee

instead…)

Pops – I promise to stop rearranging the

furniture and walking around the room like

a turtle with my bed on my back. (Maybe I

can use that corner table for my “turtle

shell”…)

Louie – My resolution is to stop asking for

kisses and then trying to bite whoever tries

to give me one. (I might just skip the kiss

request part…)

Hope – I swear that I am no longer going to

knock Florence over, sending her to the ER.

(A padded floor is all that’s needed to avoid

injuries…)

“treasure pile.” (All the others need to do is

give them to me, and there’ll be no need to

in a cat’s body and act more like a cat. (Or,

alternatively, I might just take off this cat

costume and be my true self…)

Cats

Casper – I vow to stop hogging Florence’s

pillow at night and lying on her face. (All

she needs to do is surrender her pillow to

me…)

Howard Hughes – For 2018, I promise to

work on learning to be more tame and

affectionate. (Please note: “work on”…)

Tinkerbell – My resolution is to stop

constantly begging for butt rubs. (From now

on, I’ll just demand them…)

Lucy – I promise to stop sneaking through

the door to steal Minnie’s food. (If they just

put me in the same room, so the door won’t

be a factor…)

A HEARTFELT “THANK YOU” FROM OUR FOUNDER

It is hard to find the words to express my gratitude for your generous gifts that marked my 90th birthday in December!

If only it were possible to write a “thank you” note to each and every one of you, I would—but even if I could, I might

be 95 before I finished! But it’s so important that you know the boundless thanks and appreciation I feel for you all.

As a result of your donations, we were able to put a nice dent in the mortgage, and make some crucial repairs that were

minor, but would have become major problems if not addressed. With my birthday coming at Christmastime, the

animals found their “stockings” overflowing with gifts, and now they are all in love with Santa! And it’s all because of

you, our supporters, who are without equal in your devoted care and steadfast big-heartedness toward the precious

animal residents of Journey’s End. To paraphrase William Butler Yeats: “Think where glory most begins and ends,

and say my glory was I had such friends.”
