IntroductionLe journal alimentaire est un instrument très efficace pour vous aider à maigrir. Ce journal doit être à la fois simple à remplir tout en étant le plus complet possible.
Cependant, ce ne doit pas être une corvée. C'est important de trouver une formule qui vous plaira et que vous n'abandonnerez pas au bout de quelques jours. Pour différentes suggestions, lisez Un journal alimentaire pour maigrir – 4 pistes de solutions.
Cet outil doit vous aider à prendre conscience de vos habitudes, de vos motivations et surtout des situations quotidiennes qui déclenchent en vous le besoin de manger que ce soit avec ou sans faim réelle.
Vos choix alimentaires sont affectés par des conditionnements qui remontent au tout début de votre vie.
N'oubliez pas que dès la tendre enfance votre entourage utilisait la nourriture pour répondre à toute une série de vos besoins. Et aussi aux besoins des adultes qui prenaient soin de vous.
L'autre jour je circulais dans un autobus de la ville et j'observais justement une petite fille d'environ 18 mois. Après un échange de sourires et de "tatas" avec nous elle a décidé de taquiner sa grande soeur en défaisant la barrette qui retenait ses cheveux.

La grande soeur pousse sa main mais la petite recommence en rigolant. Grande soeur prend alors les grands moyens et ... elle lui refile son biberon.
Le problème est réglé: la barrette reste en place et la confrontation est évitée.
Je ne dis pas que cette fillette deviendra obèse pour autant mais je trouve que c'est tout de même une réaction typique de l'éducation qu'on donne aux jeunes. Quand un petit enfant a chaud, est fatigué, veut des câlins, a peur, a mouillé sa couche: il chigne ou il pleure. Quel est le réflexe de l'adulte? Lui donner un biberon ou des friandises.
Sans vouloir culpabiliser qui que ce soit, il ne faut pas se surprendre, devenue adulte, de chercher un réconfort dans la nourriture quand on est stressée, fatiguée ou qu'on s'ennuie.
Hé non! On ne mange pas toujours parce qu'on a faim. On mange aussi pour se réconforter et bien sûr, pour célébrer.
Ce qui est important c'est d'en avoir conscience et c'est ici que le journal alimentaire joue un rôle intéressant.

Introduction (suite 2)Déjà au bout de 2 ou 3 semaines vous serez en mesure d'observer objectivement:
●À quel moment ai-je vraiment faim ? ●Quels aliments m'attirent le plus ? ●Quelles saveurs me plaisent particulièrement: salée, sucrée, épicée, acidulée ? ●Quelles textures est-ce que je préfère: croquante, moelleuse, liquide ? ●Avec qui est-ce que j'aime manger: conjoint, famille, amis ? ●Est-ce que je préfère manger seule ? ●À quel endroit ? ●Qu'est-ce que j'aime faire en mangeant: lire, regarder la télévision, discuter ? ●Suis-je toujours attirée par les mêmes aliments ? ●Est-ce que je mange suffisamment de protéines, de légumes et de fruits ? ●Quelles sont les situations qui me portent à manger même si je n'ai pas faim ? ●Quels sont les exercices que j'accomplis avec plaisir: marcher, courir, danser ?
Ces données vous permettront d'ajuster le tir et de mieux orienter vos efforts afin de perdre du poids. Manger est un besoin de base. Vous pouvez cesser de fumer ou de boire de l'alcool mais vous ne pouvez certainement pas arrêter de manger.
Alors même si vous choisissez de suivre une diète, privilégiez un régime qui vous donne le plus de plaisir et surtout qui vous permette d'avoir une vie familiale et sociale normale.

La section « Journal Quotidien » est organisée en fonction de 6 prises alimentaires sur le principe que plusieurs auteurs recommandent de consommer 6 mini repas plutôt que 3 repas principaux.
Vous pourrez donc inscrire 6 mini repas ou les 3 repas traditionnels + 1 à 3 collations selon vos préférences. Un espace permet d'inscrire le nombre de pas mesurés à l'aide du podomètre. Marcher est l'exercice le plus simple et le plus sécuritaire qui soit.
