Dear Friend of the Northwoods Arts Council:
The Northwoods Arts Council (NAC) is excited to announce the return of its music festival on July 7-8, 2017. The 2016 festival was a sizzling success, where guests enjoyed the music of Josh Duffee & His Big Band. Josh is a world-renowned drummer who started vacationing in our area as a child, and now returns to share his love of music with us.
This year’s festival will focus on the music of Frank Sinatra, and is guaranteed to appeal to music fans of all ages. We anticipate that once again, music fans will flock to Hackensack to see this quality entertainment.
We greatly appreciated the financial support we received from our community last year and are looking forward to an equally successful event this year. Will you be able to help us?
Please let the NAC member shown below know if you are able make a contribution to our festival. Also, please feel free to call them with any questions. Suggested levels are shown on our donation sheet, but any amount is welcomed and appreciated. Contributions can be mailed to us at the address shown above. Thanks for your support!

Thanks to our supporters! The Northwoods Arts Council (NAC) would like to express our gratitude to everyone who helped make our recent Hackensack Hot Jazz Festival a sell-out success. Bringing an event of this caliber to our area took a collaborative effort by many, and support from our community, but we did it! Josh Duffee and his orchestra brought big-band era music to life for a highly appreciative audience. Thank you all for attending!
Our volunteers all deserve to take a bow for a job well done. The area newspapers, radio stations and Lakeland Public TV all graciously publicized our event with articles, public service announcements and TV coverage. Stores allowed us to hang posters in their windows. A number of businesses and individuals made generous monetary donations which helped offset our expenses.
We want to especially thank our sponsors, whose support was critical in keeping our ticket prices affordable:
