Masthead‘look’ this suggests the magazine is representing the word look for the reader to look at the images and pictures in this magazine.

Magazines uses famous stars e.g. Kim Kardashian as she is a celebrity therefore it attracts customers and fans to be like her and buy this magazine . Celebrities as fans want to know the latest ‘gossip’ about their favorite model/ celebrity.

Front page analysis

The masthead has been done is serif and the front is pink and bold which is eye-catching to the readers, which makes the magazine more interesting. ‘KIM's secret hook-ups’ the

font size is big and its in bold writing which attracts the target audience as they wants to know what's happening and is a representation of ‘gossip’ as it makes reader talk about what going on to other people.

Colours- pink and white which suggests its feminine because it aimed at women.

Pictures- there are varieties of pictures shown e.g. clothing and handbags . The reader can tell what genre this is as the magazine is based on women's clothing which also suggests to the target audience it’s a fashion magazine.

The line ‘Wedding outfits you WILL wear again ’ helps attract the reader for advice on type of outfits they can were for their big day. The word ‘WILL’ is in capital which suggests they are saying that the reader will definitely get the dress they want and persuasive them that you can wear the dress again.

The magazine doesn't’t offer promotion gifts

The writing at the top of the front cover is a strapline

‘guilt free shopping’ suggests that they are persuading readers to look inside for shop , the word ‘guilt’ makes the reader feel as if they are doing wrong for buy more clothes. The font O is represented as an

expression of the readers eyes widely open as a result it makes the reader very curious

to look inside.

• The magazine is demographic, as it appeals to young women who live in a urbanization areas. People who earn a high income can afford the magazine and the magazine tries to persuasive mainly English ethnicity

• At the moment the company ‘look’ isn't multiplatform yet.

• The cost of this magazine is £1.80. But varies when a reader subscribes for the magazine either weekly or monthly.

• The magazines medium’s essential strength lies in the active way in which readers choose and use their look magazine. Magazines like Look, are an active medium, with the reader in control. This is because it depends on , the target audience if they like the magazine and if it appeals to them e.g. fashion, as a result this will show if the magazine is going to be successful or not. The magazines number of readership is 523,000.
