Pilar II-Industrial Leadership-Access to risk finance (A2F) Advantages:

Provides loan finance to larger-scale demonstration projects and first-time industrial application (translation of R&D into innovation)

Support riskier but creditworthy RDI projects through risksharing between the EU, the European Investment Bank.

Demand-driven approach ("first comes, first served") is flexible and can respond to market demand. Complement HORIZON 2020 grant financing and can combined with other public and private

sources of funding including grants

Budget: 2.842M€.

Two instruments (in conjunction with COSME Programme) Equity/risk capital: e.g. venture capital to SMEs with high growth potential or risk capital to

infrastructure projects. Debt instrument also includes "RRisk-Sharing Finance Facility RSFF II“.Financing of demonstration

projects is possible
