ObituaryCatherine was born September 30, 1951 in Houston, TX to Casanna Jammer Hanks. She attended George Washington Carver School, Sweeny High School, Wharton County Jr. College, Brazosport College, and Hampton Institute. Catherine married Perry Williams (deceased) and to this union two children were born, whom she was very proud of and loved dearly.
Catherine served the Lord diligently and was an active member of serval church families, however she was baptized and raised at Zion Temple A.M.E Church where she later returned. She was employed by Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, TX, Air Liquide America Corporation in Houston, TX, and the Pearland Reading Center. She later provided home daycare services where she lovingly cared for three beautiful children.
She was an avid collector of “All God’s Children” figurines and elephant figurines; and possessed an extensive movie collection.
She loved photography, reading, and spending time with family and friends; especially her grandchildren who affectionately called her “Grammy”.
Catherine leaves to cherish her memories; her mother Casanna Hanks of Sweeny, TX, children Lisa Williams of Missouri City and Shaun Williams (Vershonda) of Missouri City; grandchildren Jordan, Jacoby, Chloe, and Courtney; a sister Sarah Jammer (Houston, TX) and a brother Randy Jammer (Sweeny, TX), two nieces Leslie and Ophelia and her great nephew Solomon.
