I am hoping to begin a conversaon that we can

connue over the course of the summer and perhaps

make a theme of this upcoming New Year: Here’s the

queson I would love us to discuss: How do we care for

our souls?

This is a queson being raised by a group of millennials from a project

being run out of the Harvard Divinity School. You can find out what

these folks are thinking at their web site: howwegather.org.

Here’s the basic premise: We live at a me in which we have become

increasingly isolated from one another. And that lack of connecon is

literally killing us: think the opioid crisis; the epidemic of gun violence;

the rising suicide rate. We think we are more connected than ever

since we spend a lot of our days on social media filling ourselves in on

the highlights of the lives of our family and our friends. We pursue

careers, money, power and fame. But there is an empness at the core

of it all.

Yet at a me when more and more people need to connect and

nourish their souls, fewer and fewer believe that they can fulfill those

needs in religious instuons like churches and synagogues. The

hunger is there, but not enough of us believe that we can find what we

are craving in our religious instuons.

That’s the challenge we face—here at Beth Sholom and across the

country. I am going to resist the temptaon to tell you about all the

wonderful programs that we offer to provide connecon and care for

the soul. Not because we are not providing such opportunies, but

because we need to hear from you.

Let’s begin a conversaon together. How do you care for your soul?

And how could this community be a resource for you to connect with

kindred spirits? We start from the premise that the purpose of being

part of a Jewish community is the recognion that we need each other

to be fully human. Now we need to know: How do we make that

happen in the 21st Century?

I would love to hear your thoughts. Email me at

rdgk@bethsholomcongregaon.org

Have a resKul and nourishing summer.

In Blessing Rabbi Andrea Merow

Summer me and the reading is good! During the year,

many of us read new arcles or texts on the internet; we

oLen have less me to read long works of ficon and non-

ficon than we would hope for; maybe you read a bit

before bed, on vacaon, or on a weekend. But sadly, I

believe that in our fast-paced world, it is only the most

disciplined of us that seem to be able to carve out me for

longer reads. Hopefully the summer gives each of us some

more quiet me to read and to escape into the worlds

created on the page by talented writers. One can look at

the New York Times best sellers list, or many other places

for lists of new and good reads. Some people want to

escape into so called “beach reads.” ALer you are through

with a few beach reads and are looking for some more

serious and meaningful reading, consider the following

books:

This past May, the Center for Spiritual Well-being at Beth

Sholom hosted the author Liza Long for a talk about mental

illness and teens. Her book is called The Price of Silence: A

mom’s perspecve on mental illness. She wrote her book

as a follow up to her post called “I am Adam Lanza’s

mother.” Her post was a response to the tragic murder of

26 people at the Sandy Hook elementary school at the

hands of Adam Lanza. Long has a son who suffered with

mental illness and uncontrollable, destrucve behavior. She

and the medical community could not find ways to help her

then 13-year-old son, and Long feared that in the future,

she could be the mother of someone who could perpetrate

such awful acts. Her post went viral; she then wrote a

breath-taking book about mental illness and teens and has

become one of the naon’s shining stars to advocate for

beer mental health care for all and proper funding for

mental health care for all. Her blog post led her son to get

the right diagnosis and treatment. Her talk at Beth Sholom

was informave and inspiring. She teaches English at a

college and her wring is lyrical and inving. I highly

recommend her beauful, yet painful book.

The next book on my list is by the noted Israeli journalist

and thinker, Yossi Klein Halevi and is called Leers to My

Palesnian Neighbor. In addion to wring, Klein Halevi

teaches at the Hartman Instute in Jerusalem. His last book

was called Like Dreamers and chronicled the Six Days War

in detail. His new book, published by Harper Collins, is his

aempt to try to begin a conversaon with his neighbors to

explain who is an Israeli, and to create some space to

understand who is his enemy. Here is a review of the book

from the publisher:

“Aempng to break the agonizing

impasse between Israelis and Palesnians,

the Israeli commentator and award-

winning author of Like Dreamers directly

addresses his Palesnian neighbors in this

taut and provocave book…. I call you "neighbor" because I

don’t know your name, or anything personal about you.

Given our circumstances, "neighbor" might be too casual a

word to describe our rela%onship. We are intruders into

each other’s dream, violators of each other’s sense of home.

We are incarna%ons of each other’s worst historical

nightmares. Neighbors.“ If you are interested in Israeli

history I highly recommend Like Dreamers; and if you are

interested in the Israeli present and future, try his new

work, Leers to My Palesnian Neighbor.

In 1959 Arthur Hertzberg wrote the now iconic book called

The Zionist Idea (TZI). For those of us who grew up in a

Zionist youth group, TZI was a Bible of sorts, giving us

primary sources on what early Zionist thinkers believed in

their own words. This year Dr. Gil Troy wrote an updated

version called The Zionist Ideas – Visions for the Jewish

Homeland – Then, Now and Tomorrow. His new book,

published by The Jewish Publicaon Society, is the perfect

Zionist primer. Highly organized, the book enumerates 6

different philosophical approaches to Zionism and divides

the writers into three historical periods. Most compelling

for me is “Part Three. Torchbearers: Reassessing,

Redirecng and Reinvigorang.” In this secon Troy gives us

writers from contemporary Zionist thinkers in each of his 6

philosophical categories. Again, if you would like a history

of Zionism in primary sources, and a window into the

debates of Zionism today, I highly recommend this book.

We have been studying this work in our Tuesday morning

class at Beth Sholom.

And for those of you who would like to learn Torah this

summer, run, don’t walk, to buy the new volume of Pirke

Avot - Ethics of our Ancestors published by The Rabbinical

Assembly in the Lev Shalem series. We use the Lev Shalem

High Holiday prayer book at Beth Sholom. Pirke Avot is one

of Judaism’s earliest rabbinic works of ethical teaching. In

this new commentary, my colleagues Rabbi Tamar Elad-

Appelbaum and Rabbi Gordon Tucker offer a modern and

insighKul commentary to this ancient work. You can order

this book from the RA at [email protected]

or 201-216-9400 ext. 118.

Happy reads - and please let me know how you enjoy some

of these exceponal books!

Everywhere We Can Find Music Hazzan Jeffrey Weber

Reflec2on and Renewal

This me of year is always an interesng, however somemes confusing one. It is not the end of the

Gregorian calendar year nor the Jewish calendar, but none the less, it does seem to be the end of some-

thing leading to a new beginning.

We have such such a wonderful year here at BSC. I personally have had the great joy of spending me with many of our

young ones this year. We have been blessed with many B’nai Mitzvah and other wonderful events like baby namings and

birthdays.

For those who are not aware, we have an incredible preschool here. Each year it outdoes itself. Our amazing clergy team

has the blessing of celebrang with the children regularly during our fun, meaningful and educaonal Shabbat services as

well as lunches with the families and other events. I have the great joy of being renewed by preschoolers in our music

classes, where we sing, dance, play instruments, and have a great me together. Sure it is exhausng, but it is oh, so

worth it. The feeling one gets when the kids are happy to see you and want to just stop in the office to say hi, is just be-

yond words. We all know the feeling that one gets when an innocent child just wants to run over and give you a hug. This

is our future, and the way in which our team interacts and cares for these children and their families is what will always

keep us renewed and moving forward.

As we all know, there are always sad and tough mes which come during the year as well. I am so proud to be part of a

community which cares for all its integral parts. Each of us is here for one another.

We share births and birthdays, small children, teens, high school, college and graduate school graduaons. We share

mes of joy as well as mes of sadness. We share the beginnings of our day, both good and bad, into the end of our day.

We experience the seasons; spring, summer, fall and winter, not only the actual mes of year, but of our lives together

as part of our communal family.

As we transion from spring to summer, kids ending the school year, family vacaons, teens traveling around the country

or world as part of their Jewish journey, summer camps, and all the other wonderful moments, we can all reflect on a

season which has ended and feel renewed as we move into the summerme and preparaon of the year to come, both

secular and religious.

I hope you have had as good a year as I have and look forward to a renewing summer and year ahead.

From the President Arthur Frankel

Finite vs. Infinite. That’s what comes to mind as I write my final piece for Connecons. When my

presidency began in the summer of 2016 I knew it was for a finite period. Back then three years seemed

like such a long me. Now as the grains of sand progress to the boom of the hour glass, I realize, once

again, how fleeng me is. Though me itself is infinite, when related to each one of us it is finite. But there are three

things for which me must not run out - Judaism as a religion, Beth Sholom Synagogue and Congregaon as a house of

worship and fraternity, and the State of Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. Each of us must appreciate this and

each of us must accept our responsibility to ensure that these items I listed above live well beyond our me on earth. We

must remember that we are builders of structures we will never see to compleon. Generaons before did it for us, and

now we must do it for the generaons to come.

Special thank you’s to Rabbi Glanzberg-Krainin, Rabbi Merow, Hazzan Weber, Harvey Friedrich, and senior staff members

Eileen, Julie, Stacey, Sarah and Debbie; the Board of Directors, the Execuve Commiee, the Officers, the Commiees and

their chairs, the Men’s Club, the Sisterhood, the Office Staff (Karen, Emily, Susan and Terry), all of our pre-school, JQuest

and JTC teachers; the Custodial Staff and all of our volunteers. Your collecve impact on my three years was deeply

appreciated.

I wish my successor, Jeff Gordon, great success as he undertakes this important posion.

Early Learning Eileen Weingram

At Beth Sholom Preschool, the ordinary is extraordinary!

We oLen speak about our numerous special events and programs.

However, it has occurred to many of us that it is our everyday program

which is the most special! We certainly have a preschool of which we are proud and we

must be careful not to take our “everyday” excellent, exceponal program for granted.

Our staff, with their high level of educaon, creates a superb, unique experience for our

preschoolers. Many of our staff has credenals that exceed what is generally required of

preschool teachers and assistants. Furthermore, we are all required to take addional

courses each year.

We are the only preschool in our area which offers parents the choice of either a Tradi-

2onal or Montessori program for their child. Our Montessori classroom is a perfect exam-

ple of a classic Montessori environment. How special it is that here at Beth Sholom we

have a dual program!

Our children have the benefit of parcipang in many “specials” every day of the week.

These include Hebrew, Mandarin, Music, and Gym, all taught by experts in their field. We

love Fridays, when we get ready for Shabbat. What a joy it is to listen to the children sing their Shabbat songs.

We all know that our children are the most special part of Early Learning at Beth Sholom. But, in fact, their parents are

very special, too. Our PTO is an incredible group of mothers and fathers who are dedicated to our children, our staff and

our school. They meet monthly and are always planning new events for our families. At a me when we oLen hear about

the lack of interest and aendance in synagogue events, frequently there are more than one hundred people in aend-

ance at our acvies, including our monthly Tot Shabbat programs. This provides a wonderful, warm, inving community

for all our preschool families. Many lasng friendships have been formed. We are very appreciave of all that they do for

us.

ALer a recent tour, a prospecve parent described us perfectly. The father said, “Early Learning at Beth Sholom is the real

deal.” While we are sll that warm, nurturing school, we always maintain the highest standards. Our teachers are trained

in all the latest trends in Early Childhood and have the technology and equipment for the implementaon.

All this, and families who are new members to Beth Sholom receive a 40% percent discount on their child’s tuion.

I think that everyone can agree, Early Learning at Beth Sholom is truly “special.”

Center for Spiritual Well-being

ZOOM….into Adult Educaon

A few months ago, the Rabbis launched a new form of Adult Educaon sponsored by

The Center for Spiritual Well-being. These classes are on the Internet at night and taught

by the Rabbis, but you can be in your pajamas…or eang dinner…or even cleaning up

the kitchen! Can you guess how? The classes are by video conference! Right in your own home! No traveling in

the cold, winter air; you can be comfy at home with a cup of hot tea!

The Rabbis understand your me is precious and limited. Sll, we wanted to find a way to connect people to

Jewish learning wherever they are. They used Zoom, a video conferencing website. With Zoom, you can further

your Jewish educaon just by turning on your computer. You get a great video meeng experience from your

desktop, mobile device, or conference room. You can even access the meeng whenever and wherever you

want.

Each week that there is a Zoom class, you will receive an email with the website connecon details. All you

have to do is click on the link, register your account, and you are on the call! You can do this through an app on

your phone or tablet or from a desktop or laptop computer. You do not need a camera, but if you have one,

you can be face-to-face with others in the class. It’s like you are in an actual classroom learning about Jewish

topics! There is also an opon for a telephone dial in if you would prefer to listen and talk but not be seen.

Using Zoom also allows the Rabbis to share documents on your computer or phone screens, allowing you to

follow along with the discussion. ALer each call, the documents are sent to you.

Weekly, these Adult Educaon classes are taught by Rabbi Glanzberg-Krainin and Rabbi Merow. Some of their

most recent topics have included: Pirke Avot, Zionism, the prophets, Basic Jewish Concepts with Profound In-

sights, learning how Jewish tradions can provide insights into some very contemporary dilemmas. We hope to

bring you much more learning!

If learning from the comfort of your home sounds new and excing to you, call or email Stacey Salsman at

215.887.1342 ext. 109 or ssalsman@bethsholomcongregaon.org and provide your email address. We’ll send

you the connecon link. See you in your pajamas!

June is a me of celebraon -

graduaons, weddings, carnivals,

barbeques, flea markets, outdoor

concerts and more. Summer is a me

for infinite fun. Summer gives us so

much to look forward to, especially vacaon. For the most

part, life is so much easier. As we get older, it gets tougher

schlepping to the beach with our children and

grandchildren, but most important is that we are all

together, siFng in our beach chairs staring at the dolphins,

eang ice cream, walking on the boardwalk, and taking the

grandchildren to the lit up

amusement park at night.

Sisterhood featured some

wonderful programs and events

this Spring. Our Bingo, this year at

Philmont Country Club, was a

huge success and people had a

fun filled evening along with a

buffet and an opportunity to win wonderful giLs. I would

like to thank all the ladies that helped make this evening

successful.

Sisterhood Shabbat was a splendid day with our Sisterhood

ladies leading services followed by a fesve Kiddush lunch.

Our women were awesome! Our Donor “Chai Tea” was

Wednesday, May 16. It was an elegant tea accompanied by

a violinist. Hats on Ladies!!

Sisterhood will have Installaon of our officers on

Wednesday, June 6 at 10:00 am. Join us to honor the

women who give of themselves to keep Sisterhood acve

and vibrant by raising funds for our Congregaon. Candy

Stanton, portrayed by actress Rene Goodwin, will take us

into the White House and explain how she helped Jackie

begin her life as American royalty. Hear the glamour, dark

secrets and the unknown challenges of Jacqueline Bouvier

Kennedy. Rene will also bring replicas of Jackie’s jewelry

following a pete lunch.

The Program Commiee will be working very hard

planning acvies and great events for next year. Get

involved with Sisterhood. We could use your help and

would love to see you.

Our next Board Meeng will be held on Wednesday, June

13 at 10:00 am. Please call me if you would like to be

involved. I’m happy to discuss the opportunies with you.

Men’s Club David Sternberg

I can’t believe my three-year term is done and just

how much I will miss it. I was fortunate to meet many

new people, become good friends with others, and I

beer understand the extensive challenges of

operang a synagogue and the Men’s Club. I was

blessed to work with dedicated board members

whose guidance and experience helped me navigate

my way. I appreciate all the assistance from the

Rabbis, Cantor and professional staff. I enjoyed

working with my counterparts at Sisterhood.

My involvement confirmed what I always suspected -

that the enre Beth Sholom family is generous,

charitable and works relessly for the beerment of

the synagogue and the community. Their steadfast

support of the synagogue and Men’s Club cannot be

understated. During my term I am proud that we fed

the hungry, honored our leaders, both local and

naonal, honored our veterans, led Shabbat services,

celebrated holidays, funded educaonal programing,

provided camp scholarships, donated to

improvements of the synagogue facilies, sponsored

all of the Beth Sholom fundraising events and helped

our sister synagogue in Israel. We again won a Quality

Club award from the Federaon of Jewish Men’s Clubs

and remain recognized as one of the top Clubs in the

region and country.

On March 17, members and their wives enjoyed a

night at Smoke and Mirrors Magic Theater. Everyone

was amazed and entertained and no one disappeared.

As we have for many years, Men’s Club purchased,

packed, assembled and mailed yellow candles to

everyone in the congregaon to celebrate Yom

Hashoah to insure we never forget the memory of the

Six Million Jews, including the children, who were

killed. Once again, a very special yasher koach to Saul

Langsam for his dedicaon in organizing the event and

thanks to everyone who came to help.

ALer packing the candles that morning, many

members drove to Temple Sinai and parcipated with

Project Hope by packing and delivering kosher

Passover food for the needy in our community. Our

incoming president, Steve Pilchik, was one of the co-

organizers.

Several members and I will

parcipate with the men of the

Middle Atlanc Region in a fun

filled weekend of brotherhood

from June 8 -10th at Camp Zeke

in the Poconos. The camp is an all

-inclusive full-service kosher facility. We will aend

seminars, classes and discussions on a variety of topics

while enjoying the outdoors.

Our closing dinner will take place on Monday, June 18

when we will install new Board members and

announce the Beth Sholom Man of the Year award

recipient. We will also be entertained by Magic Steve.

See further informaon on page 4.

Both of the BSMC soLball teams are off and running -

come and cheer. Many games are in beauful parks

where your children can play outdoors. Informaon

about game mes and locaons is on the Beth Sholom

web page calendar.

Plans are underway for another Trivia Night at the

Wet Whistle on July 18. The last one was a laughter

filled evening of fun and entertainment.

I want to acknowledge the determined work of Men’s

Club members Rich Heller and Bob Lankin, who have

been instrumental in caring for the Jews incarcerated

in Graterford. Their efforts with prison officials have

paved the way for Passover Seders, providing inmates

with a sanctuary in which to pray, and supporng

them once they are released. I also want to thank

everyone who contributed to our Yom Hashoah and

Herb Sobel Passover drives.

I want to express my gratude to my family for their

support and understanding of this commitment. I also

want to thank my predecessors and Board members

for their help. Finally, I pledge to work with Steve and

the new Board members to make the transion

smooth and safeguard the excellence of the Beth

Sholom Men’s Club which was bestowed to me.

Enjoy your summer and don’t forget to always use sun

screen.

MITZVOT B’YAHAD/SOCIAL ACTION Norma Finkelstein & Jeanne2e Norris, Co-Chairs

The annual Reitenberg Memorial/Mitzvot B’Yahad (Mitzby) Program and Luncheon will occur on June 2nd. Parcipants

will learn about the nonprofit volunteer Jewish organizaon NA’AMAT USA. This organizaon partners with NA’AMAT

Israel to provide vital educaonal and social services for women, children and families in need in Israel. We thank Selma

Sadly, one of our earliest projects, the BSC Mitzvah Garden, will no longer exist. We have not had enough people to

consistently work and tend the garden over the past several years. The Mitzvah Garden provided fresh produce for the

families who came to our Mitzvah Food Pantry. A HUGE thank you goes to Alan Rothman and those who did come to

help plant, water and harvest over the years. We hope the gardening bug will hit another group of volunteers in the

future.

Mitzby provides yearlong opportunies to get acvely involved in mitzvah work—performing acts of Tikkun Olam and

Gemilut Chasadim. The BSC Mitzvah Food Pantry, under the able leadership of Beverly McFadden and Stuart Warsetsky,

connues to provide nutrious food to over 150 families weekly. Under the leadership of Marilyn Rubin and Ronne

Hellmann, Cook for a Friend volunteers cook twice a month preparing over 400 meals for seniors and adults. Other

summer opportunies to parcipate in mitzvah work include joining the Shul Buddies Meal Train, parcipang in

Helene’s Heroes Blood Drives, and helping those who need to say Kaddish for a loved one by aending evening

minyanim.

Perhaps you would like to learn more about state and federal policies and legislaon being discussed and voted on that

can impact the very families we serve. Mitzby acvely engages in the work of Act Against Hunger, a coalion of

synagogues and community organizaons that works

with MAZON – the Jewish Response to Hunger.

Working with Act Against Hunger provides another

level of Tikkun Olam—Social Jusce—to ensure that

there is support and funding for programs that

provide access to healthy, affordable, adequate food

for all people.

Or possibly you have an idea for some way to make a

difference in our community. We would love to hear

about it. Mitzby can help support and nourish your

idea to fruion. That is how Kare4Kids blanket making

made its way to Beth Sholom. That is how “Yes We

Can” containers appeared. That is how recycling

became a part of BSC life. We await the next idea!

While the work that Mitzby does connues over the

summer, many of our volunteers take vacaons, so

extra help is oLen needed. If you are interested in

giving some me or in learning more about Mitzby,

contact Jeannee at 215-635-0383 or Norma at 215-

776-1105.

Wishing all a safe, peaceful and relaxing summer

News from the Preserva2on Founda2on Climbing Beth Sholom by Toni Resnick, Docent

One of the joys of being a docent for Beth Sholom is having the opportunity

to tell not only our congregaonal story, but also to convey the story of the

Israelites encountering G-d at Mt. Sinai. This is a story that was beaufully

told by Rabbi Cohen and Frank Lloyd Wright through architecture and design.

The inside of the building represents a mountainous desert, so I start the tour in the Sisterhood Sanctuary, where I

begin our “ascent”. The ark is “cut” into the wall, so I point out the “fractured” walls, which represent desert rock, that

hold the Aron Ha'Kodesh. The ceiling represents the desert sky, so I show visitors the twinkling lights on the ceiling that

reveal themselves as a Magen David when you stand directly under them.

ALer we climb the steep stairs out of the Sisterhood, we stand outside the small sanctuary, gazing upon the dimly lit

room, nocing how it resembles a groo; a place to be contemplave and prayerful. When we begin to “ascend” again,

now to the Main Sanctuary, we take note of the elevaon and view from the steps down toward the lobby, and the

feeling of separaon from this world as the journey connues to the top of “The Mountain”. As we make our final

“ascent”, there is a lack of physical effort required, as if the path asks you to be unfeered from this world, and your

thoughts and your heart only be concerned with your encounter with the ulmate mystery. Upon each entry to the

Sanctuary I watch as our guest’s eyes, along with their hearts, soar upward. They are always breathless and speechless.

Vising Beth Sholom is not only an architectural experience, but a spiritual one as well. As members and friends of the

congregaon, we are fortunate to be connected to this amazing space. If you are interested in taking this journey again,

or would you like to share this architectural masterpiece with your family and friends, contact the Beth Sholom

Preservaon Foundaon to schedule a tour.

Congrega2onal Engagement CommiCee CEC (formerly Membership)

Danielle Otero and Anne Rubin

The BSC Membership Commiee was recently renamed the Beth Sholom Congregaonal Engagement

Commiee.

We have been working diligently to support iniaves across all cohorts of the Congregaon. One such

program is the new Mishpacha (Family) Program, which matches congregants and families with similar

interests. We encourage you to contact Stacey Salsman for more informaon and to complete the proper

form! Another wonderful project we support is the new K-6 Parent Group, which plans social acvies, such

as the Parents' Night Out on Sunday evening, June 10th (see below). A fun program will take place for children

at the same me parents are able to enjoy an evening with friends at a local restaurant.

Addionally, a representave of our Commiee aended the USCJ Membership and Markeng Conference in

April. We will be implemenng many of the USCJ recommended Best Pracces in the coming months and

hope to parcipate in related leadership training opportunies to beer our congregaonal engagement ini-

JQuest B’Yachad

Changes in our School – We Hear You!

As part of a process of being reflecve about our educaonal offerings, this spring we invited the families whose children

parcipate in our JQuest B’Yachad program to give us feedback about what is important to them. We learned about what

maers most to our families: Hebrew language learning provided in developmentally appropriate ways for students at

every level and a Conservave movement approach to Judaic Studies. At the same me, we were reminded that our

families value having their children be part of a diverse community of Jewish students from the Old York corridor and

beyond.

To address these priories, we have adjusted the program for next year, and we are thrilled to share some of these

important changes with you:

• On Sunday mornings, children from Beth Sholom and AJ, the two Conservave shuls, will be together as they were

this year and last, rotang locaons mid-year.

• The Sunday program will feature a greater emphasis on Conservave movement curriculum that includes prayer, Ju-

daic studies and Hebrew learning for children in all grades.

• Hebrew instrucon will begin in first and second grades with leer recognion and Hebrew Through Movement.

• Hebrew decoding, or reading, will return to 3rd grade.

• Children will learn Hebrew on Sundays and on Tuesdays—and with online learning opportunies.

• On Tuesday aLernoons, students from all three congregaons will be together and will engage in grade-level Quests

(content rich, project-based learning).

Rabbi Stacy Rigler will connue to serve as Director of the overall JQuest B’Yachad program. In addion, Holli Goldenberg

will be serve in the newly-created posion of Director of the Conservave Movement Sunday morning program. Holli will

work closely with Rabbi Rigler throughout the year, and will be on-site during the Tuesday aLernoon program to ensure

curricular connuity and a seamless experience both for children and parents. Holli has taught in the JQuest B’Yachad

program since it began, and this year has done an exemplary job in her role as site supervisor and point person for

students with special needs. Holli will also serve as the informal youth acvies coordinator for our elementary children.

We are thrilled that Holli will be taking on these new roles and hope that you will join us in welcoming her.
