Overnight in Athens Saturday, September 2 / Day 3 / Delphi This morning, we depart Athens and drive to Delphi. About 2 and a half hours later we will reach the site of Delphi. Considered by the ancient Greeks as the center of the earth. The fame of the Delphi oracle extended far beyond the boundaries of the Hel - lenic world. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Phthios. We visit the site and the museum. Dinner and overnight Delphi Sunday, September 3 / Day 4 / Olympia Depart Delphi for Olympia. On the way, pass through the Rio-Anrio bridge, consid - ered and engineering masterpiece. We will stop at Patrra for a visit to St. Andreas church and then connue to Olympia for a Guided visit. In anquity it was the sacred ground of ancient Greeks and the site of the original Olympic Games that started in 776 BC. See where the athletes trained in the gymnasium and the stadium where the actual games took place.
