Georgia O’Keeffe

Georgia O’Keeffe was an American artist born in Wisconsin in 1887.

She is mainly known for her modernist paintings. These paintings use both abstract and concrete elements.

Concrete means that objects can be recognized. For example, she painted flowers, rocks, shells, animal bones and landscapes.

Abstract means that the objects or scenes don’t exist in reality or don’t look the way they look in reality.
