OUR PARISH LEADERSHIP TEAMS

Two Thursdays ago, we had our first parish leadership meeting for the new fiscal year. It is a new meeting for-mat, because now, we have combined the parish pasto-ral council and the parish finance council for the first time, in one meeting. This new format was introduced in order to facilitate communication between these two advisory councils, and to foster collaboration. I am very proud of our council members and I deeply grateful for their sacrifice, commitment and wisdom over the many things that we, as a parish, are trying to accomplish.

Please allow me to introduce the council members of this new fiscal year 2019-2020:

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL

Cathi Willi Wendy Langlois Marc Nichols Maria Calderon Ramon Lopez Ann Wheeler Tim Blanchette Deb Groth Kris Smith Rogelio Canchola Julie Busken

PARISH FINANCE COUNCIL

Mark O’Connor Claudia Noe Sonda Clocksin Amy Anderson Gene Marcotte Cheryl Walsh

In many ways, these are your bridges, collaborators and ambassadors. You can come to them for your feedback and encouragement. Please find in these parishioners your liaison to your priests, if that is needed in any at all. They are not directly involved in ministry, in their capacity as council members, but are engaged in conversations with me for visioning, for giving feedback and for strategizing about the future of our parish.

I also want to thank these outgoing Parish Councils Members for their service to the parish: Keri Lilienthal, Ken Klipp and Cindy McBarnes. I am grateful to have worked with them, and with so many wise and spiritual people who have given me honest and loving feedback and counsel over the years.

Our leadership evenings have been scheduled for this fiscal year. All parishioners who are interested to sit in at the council meeting are welcome. I will also be inviting some other areas of ministry in the parish to give some presentations and feedback on the culture of our parish and where we are today in pursuing the parish mission: Influ-enced by our patron, St. John Paul II, we are a faith-sharing family of Catholic believers who bring Jesus to everyone and everyone to Jesus, through discipleship, outreach and the Holy Eucharist.

Together with these conciliar leaders, we have a full set of dedicated and hard-working staff, and commission heads who take up the active ministries of the parish. Many of our council members are also working in at least one of these various areas of ministry. I hope that their dedi-cation and passion as volunteers of our parish family inspire more of you to participate and widen the scope of our parish participation. While it is a blessing for our parishioners to faithfully attend our Sunday liturgies, there is so much more to being Catholic than going to mass. Participating in conciliar positions, ministries, organizations and volun-teer activities deepen our anchor with the Lord, through the Church. I will never stop encouraging everyone to participate. God bless our leaders, and all parishioners who serve with a good heart. Amen.

In omnibus, amare et servire Domino Fr. Sunny Castillo

CONCILIO PARROQUIAL PARROQUIAL Cathi Willi Wendy Langlois Marc Nichols Maria Calderon Ramon Lopez Ann Wheeler Tim Blanchette Deb Groth Kris Smith Rogelio Canchola Julie Busken CONCILIO PARROQUIAL DE FINANZAS Mark O’Connor Claudia Noe Sonda Clocksin Amy Anderson Gene Marcotte Cheryl Walsh En diferentes maneras estos son tus puentes, colaboradores y embajado-res. Aquí puedes venir a recibir respuestas y estímulo. Amen. In omnibus, amare et servire Domino
