(Joh 2:12-25) After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days. And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he

had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers'

money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise. And his disciples remembered that it was

written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up. Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt

thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples

remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his

name, when they saw the miracles which he did. But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

• The whole family except for Joseph is moving to this city at this time.

"In the Gospels, Jesus is called a tekton, a

Greek word that meant not merely a carpenter skilled in making cabinets or

furniture but a designer, construction engineer, or architect. A tekton could build a

house, construct a bridge, or design a temple." (Starbird,

2003, p. 53)

(Psa 69:8-9) I am become a stranger unto my

brethren, and an alien unto my mother's

children. For the zeal of thine house hath eaten

me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

(Mal 3:1-3) Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the

way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple,

even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall

come, saith the LORD of hosts. But who may abide the day of his coming? and

who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the

sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the

LORD an offering in righteousness.

III. Overall lesson being taught

Page 29: (Joh 20:30) And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: that ye might believe that Jesus.

(Joh 2:23-25) Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast

day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. But

Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

(Rom 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the

power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

(Luk 9:26) For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words,

of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's,

and of the holy angels.

Page 31: (Joh 20:30) And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: that ye might believe that Jesus.

(Rom 10:11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him

shall not be ashamed.

(2Ti 1:12) For the which cause I also suffer these things:

nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able

to keep that which I have committed unto him against that

day.
