2. Jobulator - Activation After downloading Jobulator from the Marketplace, the program will most likely ask you to enter your activation information. If you have downloaded the Jobulator program but you do not see it open on your device. Open your apps and find “Jobulator.” Tap Jobulator to open the app.

Enter your unique 16-digit Activation Key and your Aesop PIN and then tap “Submit.” Your activation code was posted when you first signed up for a free trial. If necessary, you can retrieve it by tapping the “Need Activation Key?” button. That will take you to the My Account tab of the Jobulator website, www.jobulator.com. Enter you email address and Aesop PIN to find your activation key. These one-time entries verify your identity so the app can find and display the correct jobs for you. As soon as the Activation Key and Aesop PIN have been verified, your Jobulator mobile app activates and Jobulator begins polling for jobs at a default rate of once every minute. Jobulator runs even when it is in the “background.” You can have other apps open, be texting, even have the screen off and Jobulator will notify you of available positions. Exceptions include when…

1. Your phone isn’t powered on. 2. You haven’t activated/launched the Jobulator app. 3. Or you are using the phone feature on your smartphone.

3. Jobulator - Tab Navigation The main tool to navigate through the Jobulator app is the Navigation Bar at the bottom of the screen. You will notice four main sections of the Jobulator app: Jobs, Messages, Settings, and Help. Tapping on any of these icons will take you to the main screen of that portion of the mobile app. 4. Jobulator - Jobs Screens The jobs screen displays a summary of each available job: the shift type, the position, the employee’s name, the school, the school district, and the start date and time of the absence. In this view, you can choose to view more details by tapping on the job information. A user can also reject a job directly from the main jobs screen. The Reject button will appear if the user swipes from right to left on the job information. The details screen will allow you to get directions to the job, accept the job, and reject the job. Press the “Jobs” tab or use the Android back button if you wish to return to the main Jobs screen.

To accept the job, the correct PIN must be entered in the white PIN box before clicking Accept. PIN entry is used to verify that it is actually you accepting the job. You can choose whether or not you would like Jobulator to enter this PIN for you. Please review section 6 of this booklet to learn more. Once the PIN is entered correctly, click “Accept.” If the job accepted and assigned to you, the Jobulator widget displays an “Accepted” message, your assignment’s confirmation number, and any notes and lesson plans from the teacher. This job is also then viewable on your Aesop homepage and interactive calendar. Additionally, if Aesop knows your email address it will automatically send you an e-mail with your Confirmation Number, letting you know that you successfully accepted the job via Jobulator. Click the Jobs tab to go back to the main Jobs screen. 5. Jobulator - Messages Screens The next tab on Jobulator is Messages. Jobulator will display three types of messages: Aesop Notifications, Jobulator Messages, and Web Alerts from your School District(s). The Messages tab will display the number of messages waiting for you that you have either not read or not acknowledged. Aesop Notifications will display any positions that have had the start time changed or that you are no longer needed for. From time to time, employees have their plans change and they decide to not take their already scheduled absence. When that is the case, Jobulator lets you know and asks that you acknowledge that you have received this message.

Jobulator Messages are notifications from the Jobulator team. We will be notifying you concerning updates, planned maintenance, features, etc. These messages do not need to be acknowledged. Simply clicking on the Jobulator Messages tab to view the message will reduce the count on your Messages tab. You will also receive the messages that your district Aesop Administrators have been posting to your Aesop homepage right on the app. These messages will be posted under the Web Alerts tab. Once again, simply clicking on the Web Alerts tab to view the message will reduce the number on your Messages tab. 6. Jobulator - Settings Screens The setting tab will allow you, the user, to control the program behavior, sound preferences, and version of the Jobulator program. Please note that settings apply as soon as they are changed. There is no need to click a “save” button on Jobulator mobile. The first section is your General Settings.

The Refresh Interval is how often Jobulator will ask Aesop if there are any jobs waiting for you. For the most frequent searching, set the refresh interval to one minute (the maximum allowed by the Aesop End License User Agreement). By default “Remember my PIN” is selected. This makes it so Jobulator will automatically remember and enter the PIN that you used to activate Jobulator when accepting a job. The final setting is “My Address.” This allows the user to enter an address that should be used as the “Start” location whenever opening the map feature The Default button at the bottom of the General Settings page will set all settings to the standard settings. The Sound Settings control the sound settings of your Jobulator program. Mute all Jobulator sounds will make it so there no Jobulator sound notifications played. We recommend that the “Play audio alert when new jobs arrive” be selected. This will allow Jobulator to play a sound when new Job becomes available unless “Mute All” is selected. By default, Use Android’s default notification sound is selected. This means that Jobulator will use the phones sound settings for notifications. If you wish to utilize a different sound scheme, unselect the Android default check box and select your sound in the browse boxes below. The final Settings page is About. The about screen will post the version of the Jobulator application that you are currently running.

7. Jobulator - Help Screen Jobulator also provides quick access to answers for many of your questions. Included on our help page are links to account details, testing tools, settings, and more help. 8. Jobulator - Other Features and Controls Notifications Jobulator mobile for Android utilizes your phones standard notification feature to notify you of available positions. If your screen is off (the phone must be powered on) or you are using another app you will receive an audible notification sound. The Jobulator icon will appear in the notification bar at the top of the screen. Open Jobulator by either clicking the app icon or dragging the notification bar down from top to bottom and pressing the Jobulator notification.

After a moment, your Android phone will allow you to place the icon shortcut on your home screen. Drag the icon to where you would like it to be placed. Letting go of the image will place the image on the home screen. Maps Jobulator utilizes the native Android mapping tools when you select the “Map” button for a particular school. On many Android devices, you will be asked which tool you would like to use to complete the action. We encourage you to use the native “Maps” tool if it is available on your device. If you have saved your address in the General Settings, the map will automatically provide directions from that location to the school. Otherwise click the on screen address and then the “Directions” button.
