Our College celebrated 70th Republic Day.on 26th January 2019 Principal Prof.Smt.P.H.Hugar hoisted the flag. Dr.Rajashekar Talikoti, Dean, Civil Department, Sandeep Foundation Engineering College, Nasik, Maharashtra spoke on the eve of Republic Day.
Women's Day
International Women's Day was celebrated on 8th March in a grand manner in our college on account of celebration of this day different competitions were held such as Dance Competition, Selfie Day with good social message and Ramp walk Further, Essay Competition was conducted in collaboration with Govt of Karnataka Nehru Yuva Kendra on “The Role of the Women in Environmental Awarness”. Smt. Vidya Vati H.B Asst. Director of Kannada and Cultural Dept. Vijayapur and Shri Dayanand, Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Vijayapur were the chief Guest for the programme.
Debate CompetitionOur College students participated in Debate Competition organized by Anjuman Degree College on the eve of 66th Birth anniversary of Late Dr. M.B.Dilshad. Miss. Lalbi Yalagar from BA VIth sem secured IInd place .She received cash prize of Rs 2000 and Miss.Bismillah Nadaf of BA IVth sem secured IIIrd Prize & received cash prize of Rs 1500.

Science Drama competition
Our College, organized State level Science Drama competition on 24.1.2019 in joint collaboration with Karnataka Science and Te c h n o l o g y P r o m o t i o n S o c i e t y, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore and Dharawad Regional Science Center, Dharawad, 09 colleges participated in this drama competition. Our college secured 1st prize , 2nd prize was secured by KCP Science college & 3rd by BLDEA’S Ayurveda college Vijyapur.Naresh Potdar non teaching staff of our college received the Best Story Writer award and Miss Pratiksha.S.Shinde of B.A 4th sem received the Best Actor Award in this Competition.
Outreach Programme
VISIT TO ORPHANAGE ON 8TH MARCH, 2019
M.Com Programme organized an Outreach Programme to visit the orphanage home on 8th March, 2019 in Vijayapur city to help the needy and hungry orphan children & distributed food and stationary to all the orphans. by visiting Bijapur Orphanage, Vijayapur.
Taluka Level Elocution Competition was organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Vijayapur on the Topic “Role of Youth in Nation Building”Miss Lalbi Yalagar BA VI Sem participated & secured second prize & cash prize of Rs2000/-.The prize was awarded to her on 31st January 2019 at BLDEA’s SMA Polytechnic College Vijayapur on the occasion of District Youth Convention

Visit To All India Radio Station on 26 th March 2019 at 11.00 am Four staff members of Language Form Smt. H. S. Desai (English) Smt. J.M. Biradar (Kannada) Vidya S. Hiremath (Hindi) and Geeta Sanadi (Sanskrit) along with 18 students visited All India Radio Station at Vijayapura. Announcer Shri. H.M.Chavan helped the students in studio for recordings. The student from all the departmentof languages participated in recordings on various topics as follows:-

15 days Yoga Camp was organized in collaboration with KSAWU ,Vijayapura from 14th March to 28th March 2019
Blood Donation Camp :Blood Donation Camp “There is no great joy than saving a soul. Making blood donations will give a new life to a person. Sedentary life style is subject to a number of illnesses and stress” said Dr. Iranna S. Dharwadkar Director, District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit. The blood donation camp was organized in our college in collaboration with Red-cross, Red Ribbon Club, NSS units and Shri B. M. Patil Medical College and Hospital Vijayapur, He stated that “Our daily activities do not focus on health because of the use of technology so we are suffering from a number of illnesses at a young age. The people of the past would be healthy without having any technology, doing their job but today’s modern world stands on technology” he said. Dr. Prakash Patil Blood Bank Officer who arrived as the chief guest of the program said “blood donation campaigns would help students learn the importance of donating blood and saving life”. Y.R.C Program Officer Prof. C. A.Chandakavate addressing students said that “blood donation inculcates humanitarian values in students”. Principal Smt. P. S. Hugar who presided over the program, spoke “all human bodies can be recreated but can not create blood”. Baburao Talawar, Supervisor of District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit, Dr. R. G. Kamatar, Smt. T.I.Sarwad, Smt. V.B.Patil, Miss.P.P.Patil, Smt..R.S.Motagi, Smt.J.M.Biradar, Smt.L.A.Nucchi, Smt.R. M.Malalimath were present. NSS Program Officer Prof.B.B.Hachadad welcomed and introduced, K. Pavitra Muchandi compeered, NSS Program Officer Prof. Shweta Ghanti proposed vote of thanks.

NSS ANNUAL SPECIAL CAMP-2018-19 DAY 1 - 23-03-2019
Our Collge has two NSS Units of 100 students each Prof B.B.Hachadad HOD of Sociology, Co-Ordinator of Unit –I & Smt. Shweta Ghanti HOD Of Womens Studies ,Co-Ordinator of Unit –II organized Annual Special Camp at Trovi from 23-3-2019 to 29-03-2019 The inaugural ceremony of the NSS Annual special camp was held on 23-03-2019 at 4-00pm. Mrs. Kalpana Maheshgowda Patil , Alumni of our college, inaugurated the ceremony. Dr. S.G.Khaji, Director of AWUV, Project Supervisor and Evaluation Board Campus of Knowledge Power AWUV was the chief guest at the ceremony, Dr. Basavaraj Lakannavar, co-ordinator of the NSS cell of AWUV was Guest of Honour , Principal Prof. P.H.Hugar presided over the function, NSS 1 and 2 program officers. College teaching and non-teaching staff and NSS campers participated in the ceremony.
DAY 2 – 24-03-2019
On the second day of the camp, a special lecture was held on the topic “The Protection of Women Health”. Dr. Jyoti Upadhyay the resource person told the students about the health of the girls. Prof. R.S.Biradar, Head of the Dept. of History presided over the function. It was followed by entertainment program organized by NSS campers.
DAY 3 – 25-03-2019
On the third day of the camp a special l e c t u r e w a s h e l d o n t h e t o p i c “Humanitarian Values in the Life of the Students”. Shri Maheh Podadar, Director of Social Welfare Department spoke on the
topic. Shri C.N.Kunnur, Head of Education department, presided over the function. It was followed by entertainment program.
DAY 4 – 26-03-2019
On the fourth day of the camp a special lecture was conducted on the topic “Development of Values through Sports”. Captain Sangappa Deginal, Indian Army delivered the lecture on this topic. Mrs. Savita Annappanvar presided over the function.
DAY 5 – 27-03-2019
On the fifth day of the camp a special lecture was organized on the topic “The Role of Women in Modern Society”. Dr. H.M. Chandrashekar Shastri, Head of History Department, Vijayanagar College Hospet spoke on this topic. Shri Dr.K.A.Patil Head of Hindi department of our college presided over the function. Free Eye Checking - was organised by Dr. Malini Prabhugowda Patil, She examined and advised around 100 people. Free eye check-up Camp was organized from 10-00am to 4-00pm.
DAY 6 – 28-03-2019
On the sixth day of the camp a special lecture was held on the topic “Public Voting Awareness”. Shri Dayananad, District Youth Coordinator, Nehru Youth Center, Govt. of India del ivered the lecture. Shr i R.N.Patil,Librarian presided over the function.
DAY 7- 29-03-2019
On the seventh day of the camp Dr. Kamatar and Smt Roopa Motagi presided over various entertainment programs. The closing ceremony was held at 12-30pm. Dr. P.M.Biradar, Retired Principal of our college

was a guest and Principal Prof. P.H.Hugar presided over the function. NSS unit 1 program officer Prof. B.B.Hachadad read the camp report. Well-served campers were honored. Smt. Shweta Ghanti, NSS unit II program officer proposed vote of thanks. College instructor, non-teaching staff and NSS campers participated in the program.
Department of BCA, of our College conducted Two Days workshop on “HARDWARE AND MAINTAINANCE on 11.02.2019 and 12.02.2019 at our college. Mr.Naveen Shirur, was the Resource Person. All the BCA Staff and Students attended the Workshop.

Dept of Sociology Organized Guest lecturer o n " C a s t e S y s t e m " i n I n d i a o n 15/03/2019.Prof Veena Jadhav was a resourse person .She spoke about caste system in India .She further told about high caste & low caste & how the distinction made by the high caste led to suffering & harassments of the low caste people.She further told that being born in a low case family is a stigma for entire life.

Department of Kannada organized Guest L e c t u r e o n - 2 7 t h M a r c h , 2 0 1 9 . Prof.S.P.Bidagoud. Assistant Prof. in Dept of Kannada,Govt.Degree College for Women’s Vijayapura,was the Resource Person. He Spoke on the Topic: - “ Kannada Upabhashegal Vargikarana”.
40 Students of final year BA and B.Com, from our college faced interview conducted by Thyrocare Company, Mumbai on 12th February 2019 07 students were selected in the interview. Smt. T. I. Sarawad and Smt. Shweta B. Ghanti accompanied the students. The following students were selected in the interview. Miss. Ayisha,Rekha Rajput, Sushma Gujagond, Pratibha Hattarakihal, Gayatri Chalawadi, Sangeeta Dhanyaland and Roopa Zende.
PLACEMENT & INDUSTRIAL VISIT
Industrial VisitIndustrial Visit at Jalagaun, Maharastra. Industrial visit was carried out at Jain Irrigation Pvt. Ltd. On 18th February,2019 for M. com 2nd & 4th semester students. The main objective behind the visit was to make student aware about how various activities related to marketing, financing and human resource are carried out in company .
HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Swaccha Bharat (9-1-2019 & 10-1 -2019)Corporation member Smt.Laxmi Kannolli stated that role of Women is important in maintaining clean environment in an awareness programme organized in our College, in collaboration with Field Outreach Bureau Vijayapur & Dharwad, Child Welfare Dept., S. S. P. U. College Central Journalism & Mass Communication Department & Girls High School.

Awareness Jatha program (HIV & AIDS)
Awareness Jatha program (HIV & AIDS) was held on on 21-03-2019 at Minimadar
and Gollar street, the program was attended by more than two hundred students. By
them the program was conducted through short play and concerts through the song
to the people of the slums.
A lecture was organized on ‘Awareness on HIV, AIDS and TB’ on 29-03-2019 in
collaboration with the units of Youth Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club. “We are born as
the greatest man in human life in all biomass so we need to be a model for good
deeds, do not waste life for a pleasant pleasure to have good food and have a healthy
diet” said Dr. Iranna S. Dharwadkar District Tuberculosis Regulatory Authorities.
Addressing the students in the awareness program he said “students should focus on
education as well as health, having information about HIV, AIDS and TB diseases
should work to provide appropriate information to others. Another resource person
Shri Baburao Talwar supervisor of District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit said
“India is a rich cultural country. This is land of holy men not the land of diseases. HIV,
AIDS and TB are infectious and chronic diseases so that everybody should take care
not to spread these diseases in society”. Shri. Imamsab Kalburgi District Tuberculosis
Control Center and Coordinator District Hospital Vijayapur , spoke on the occasion.
Principal Smt. P. S. Hugar who presided over the program, spoke “women need
education as well as good health. It is best practice to organized Such awareness
programs in educational institutions”.

The intuition’s quality enhancement & sustenance is monitored by BLDE Association’s Standard Operating Procedure Cell (SOP Cell) It monitors development, growth and quality sustenance initiatives in its various colleges. Our college was included in the procedure of SOP in Jan 2018. In the month of March 2019 the association deputed a team of experts for Standard Operating Procedure Cell Activities Annual Assessment (SOP AAA) evaluation. The team Comprising of Dr. Nitin Mahurkar, Dr. Krishna Khedkar, and Prof. Suresh Cholke visited our college on 18th March 2019. The experts recorded that the performance of the college in various spheres has been good. Thus the college with its dedicated, committed staff and students has been working hard towards achieving its vision, mission and objectives and will continue to do so in the years to come.
