Easy and smart analytics for all your dataJMP lets you get to data wherever it lives in your organization. With JMP’s pull-down menus, you can import and save SAS datasets directly or retrieve data from any source or repository using Open Database Connectivity (ODBC). JMP opens Excel and HTML with a single click and lets you analyzedata that exceeds the limits of other programs. Join, sort, concatenate, subset, stack, and split data tables from any source—quickly and easily.

JMP’s unique capability to link data, graphs, and statistics allows every-one in your organization to play with, probe, and understand the data. See relationships, uncover patterns, and identify relevant associations that affect your business.

JMP generates graphs and statistical results in the same window, so you can interpret results and save time over “fill out the form” methods that generate the statistics without a graph.Live links let you manage your data from the graphs. Click on any point on a graph and JMP highlights everything about that point in the data table.Conversely, click on a row in the data table and JMP shows you where that data displays in the graphs.

JMP helps you find outliers that distortresults or reveal important patterns. AAnd because no programming is needed, everyone in your organization can manage data easily. Just point and click to subset data, exclude groups from analysis, or mark interest-ing data so you can watch its behavior. During subsequent analyses, JMP highlights the activity of the marked data records.

Uncover opportunities for maximum improvementBlack Belts are challenged to uncover opportunities for organizational improvement that will yield maximum cost savings. JMP is the only analytic tool that offers exploratory data min-ing, custom design of experiments with total flexibility on resource allocation, and the ability to specify the way a vari-able should be analyzed and displayed.

Use JMP to identify key process inputs and outputs, so you can focus projects on inputs that have the greatest impact on process outputs. Decision trees handle any combination of factors and all response types—so they can be used for any type of quality improvement effort. JMP starts by sifting through all possible factors to find the most important ones. By continuing to sift through the factors, you can readily identify where to focus your process intervention.

JMP’s comprehensive Design of Experiments (DOE) capabilities build flexibility into your projects. JMP goes beyond traditional designs to let you build fully customized designs that are based on the resources you want to commit to the experiment.

Most DOE software limits you to a fixed number of runs. JMP Custom Designer lets you specify the runs you can afford,and then generates a design to meet those specifications. With JMP, you can include any number or combination of continuous, categorical, blocking, or mixture factors. You can specify number of runs equal to or greater thanthe minimum possible and use your

prior knowledge of your systems to rule out certain factor combinations. After the data is collected, you can interactively investigate the impact of changing the settings.

JMP also lets you lock settings for factors that you can’t or don’t want to change. Most statistical software tools don’t support D-Optimal designs. Even fewer support I-Optimal and Split Plot designs. By supporting all three, JMP lets you model your real-world situations, needs, constraints, and requirements even more closely.

JMP’s partition platform sifts through all possible factors to find the most important ones. By continuing to sift through the factors, you can identify where to focus your process intervention.

But JMP is not just for the experienced experimenter. Its graphical interface makes experimental design accessible throughout your organization. With JMP column properties, you can specify modeling types, roles, and special attributes that define how avariable is analyzed and visualized.
