“City of Wildly Abridged Freedoms”

This piece was done in 2009, on an individual agenda to practice the medium of Chalk Pastels and express how urban society has become so “concrete” that even if inhabited by wild animals, it would retain its structure as a guiding—and sometimes restricting—force of intelligent exis-tence.

“Orangutan Splash” ” This piece was done in 2010, on an individual agenda to experiment with acrylic paints by using quick strokes and unplanned subject matter.

“Jerusalem Perspectives” This photograph was taken in 2010 from an individual interest in perspec-tive, architectural history, and spacial analysis. (Location: Jerusalem, Israel)

“Hiphopopotamus vs Rhymenoceros”

This piece was done in 2009, on an individual agenda to connect the media of markers, pen and ink, and colored pencils. The piece was in response to a song written by “Flight of the Concords”, and is an example of an illogical juxtaposition.

“FWUSY Final Design on Shirt”

This project was completed in 2009, as a commissioned project to create a logo for “Far West USY”. The image is screen printed in white onto a blue, cotton shirt.

“Universal Exploration via Hot Air Balloon”

This piece was done in 2009, on an individual agenda to connect the media of markers, and pen and ink. The piece was created in an effort to experiment with my own realms of thought, in an effort to expand my own imagination.

Page 12: j.jacobson_columbiau_portfolio

“Nannerpus Attacks” ” This piece was done in 2010, on an individual agenda to con-nect the media of watercolor paints, pen and ink, and colored pencils, while being completely derived from imagination.

“The Faces of Nature” This piece was done in 2010, on an individual agenda to connect the media of watercolor paints, and pen and ink. The piece was created in order to explore my own realms of imagination. (There are faces hidden in the tree’s branches.)
