How to play the gamePlay your own office sweepstake game and help change a life at the same time. Its simple just put in some cash and pull out a team, then follow their progress using our chart. The person with the winning team gets to keep half the money and the other half goes to us.

If you manage to raise just 39, it could buy all the necessary sports equipment for one football team in South Africa. As well as being a great opportunity to play sport with other young people, the football team can also spread vital health education and HIV and AIDS awareness messages to help keep young people healthy. Even as little as 2 can make a difference and buy a child a meal.

Please tell us how much youve raised. Call 0207 877 7102

Put in , draw a team out of the hat and enter your name in the box below your team

Help us change lives in South Africa

The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.

The eyes of the world are on football in South Africa right now, but there is another contest going on that affects us all the challenge to stop the spread of HIV and AIDS.

More than 30 million people are living with HIV globally, including five million in South Africa.

Just as football requires teamwork and can unite people around the world, so HIV can divide and isolate. By supporting the work of the Red Cross, you can help ensure that people living with HIV arent left to cope alone.

KwaZulu Natal is the worst affected region in the country. More than 37 per cent of people in the province are living with HIV and one in five children has lost their mother, father or both parents to the pandemic.

Despite the enormous challenges, a Red Cross programme, led by the South African Red Cross, is having a big impact. It combines care and treatment with anti-stigma messages and prevention activities.

One of the ways we help is through peer education.

Weve recruited and trained over 800 young people who promote HIV and AIDS awareness within their own peer groups. This is vital because, without effective programmes, two thirds of the 15-year-olds in KwaZulu Natal could be infected with HIV by the time they reach their 35th birthday.

The peer educators often hold events at football matches using sport to break down taboos and social boundaries and allow sensitive issues to be discussed in an open and informal environment.

We are improving the lives of many people but there is much more work to be done and thousands more people to be helped. Help us by playing this sweepstake game.

    World Cup Wall Chart

The red cross emblem is a protective symbol and its usage among the most restricted in the world, whilst designs sporting it also have to be attractive and approachable.

This considered layout maximises space and clarity, even with the requisite photography.
