12 12 Prophet, Great Moral Teacher or Archangel? Some people who do not accept Jesus as God will often say that Jesus is just a great moral teacher, a prophet or perhaps a great archangel. Jesus can be none of the above, as author and Cambridge University Professor Dr. C.S. Lewis wrote in his book Mere Christianity: "A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher.
