Tool Consumer – The system that "consumes" the tool (i.e. the Learning Management System – e.g. JICS, eRacer, Sakai, Moodle)
Tool Provider – The system that provides the tool (e.g. LectureTools, LearningObjects, etc..)

“Tool Consumer” (that’s us, JICS) – “Tool Producer” (that’s them, e.g. Lecture Tools, Learning Objects, Barnes and Noble Textbook, etc., etc.)
“Tool Proxy” versus “Tool Placement” Can add Tool Proxy once JICS-wide to make placements easy Examples: Lecture Tools, Learning Objects, Barnes and Noble Textbook
