I am mentally determined and adamant about accomplishing goals. Being the first in my family to attend college has taught me to fight for what I want. My family is bold and inseparable, which is where my gregarious and assertive personality comes from. The extremely positive nature I exude continues to surprise my peers and elders. Running keeps my mind and body balanced. It feeds my need for competition and encourages me to challenge my limits. This sport lead me to experiencing life as a division one athlete and to finding an internship that shares my passion for running. At this internship, I was able to help plan and market for a key first birthday bash fundraiser to benefit those experiencing homelessness.

skills Creative
After retiring from college athletics, I learned how to fulfill my need for healthy competition. I set up training programs and followed them to prepare for 3 races in one year, all of which I had never done before. My competiveness helps me exceed in other walks of life, such as in the classroom. I am always striving to be better than my peers, when it may benefit me.

skills Motivational & Positive
A letter from my Cross Country Coach: “Your positive attitude whether it be at 5am practice, before a big meet, on the bus, or on a long run has been what this team has needed. Your determination and willingness to improve is imspiring.”
A letter from my Service Trip Leader: “I think it’s pretty clear you’re ‘the motivator.’ Your energy, enthusiasm, optimism, and desire to do good truly inspire and –yes- motivate all those around you.”
Here is a sample of one of the many excel spreadsheets that I created at my internship. This was tedious work that involved extreme attention to details. My desk and apartment are always organized , as I work best when things are in there place.

Sneak Peak: Birthday Bash Auction Items....
We have already secured some fabulous auction items which include Chicago Bears memorabilia, dinner at Adobo, a 2 night stay and golfing at JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes, race entries into several Chicagoland and destination races, spa
packages, theatre tickets and much more. There promises to be something for everyone.
Back on my feet is a not for profit organization that uses a running program to help those experiencing homelessness gain self-sufficiency.
As a marketing and event planning intern, I had a major role in planning and following up for the first annual birthday bash fundraiser. Another major project involved reaching out to local restuarants for our “Take a Bite Out of Homelessness” Campaign
Internship at Back on My Feet
On my service trip to Denver, Colorado we focused on the
problem of homelessness, which eventually lead me to my internship helping the homeless when I returned to Chicago. We worked with various organizations across Denver to see the vast array of homelessness and poverty stricken individuals. This experience was both eye opening and life-changing as
I discovered a passion to help others.
