Superhero

Vox is able to create and direct sound waves through singing; this singing is amplified by her ability to excite and move molecules from the preexisting wave pattern into larger or more extreme wave patterns. She uses this to create acoustic levitation, which uses ultrasonic to create changes in air pressure. Her control over sound also allows her to create barriers and shields of sound.

Super villain

Madame Marionette has the ability to project her telekinesis with the visual aid of marionettes. She is able to manipulate the gravitational field acting upon objects and people in order to levitate them, though she cannot levitate herself. She can levitate up to the weight of a large African elephant (12,000 lbs.) for a maximum of thirty seconds, but must go into hibernation in a semiconscious state in order to regain all energy. She also has the ability to fight well with a whip and other rope type objects.

Superhero

Masquerado has the ability to change the atomic structure of the molecules of various objects around him, including the air but not including other living creatures. With this ability, he can create tangible carbon copies of himself. The copies can only exist for 1 – 2 minutes and dissipate back into the original object once cut or the temporary bonds holding the molecules together break. He can also teleport utilizing the ability to create a first portal, unlink his molecular bonds, rearrange them, and transmit them through trans-space to another portal and rearrange himself again. Masquerado is able to project his mind out of his body through deep meditation and travel through his mind while his body lays dormant.

Super villain

Voodoo Queen has the ability to perform feats of black magic. She can transmute and transform objects and people by manipulating the atomic structure of said objects or people. This magic wears off after the temporary bonds are broken, approximately after 45 – 60 minutes. She uses voodoo dolls to visualize her telekinetic abilities to maim, cut, or control others. She cannot kill through voodoo but can cause serious injuries. She also has knowledge of alchemy and can create concoctions out of most any plant based material. Voodoo Queen was also contaminated with the DNA of an American alligator due to exposure to radioactive waste, leading to her super strength.

Superhero

Vis has the ability to energize the gasses around her to the point that which electrons break free, creating a spark in the gas to create plasma. She does this through transmitting energy stored in her own cells through the pores on her skin. She can then aim and manipulate the air molecules around the plasma to direct it. Because of the intense heat created, her skin is resistant to extreme temperatures. She also has alien technology from her home planet which is more scientifically advanced than human weaponry.

Super villain

It is said that humans only use 10% of the brain; if this is true, then Johnny uses 99% of his. He has the ability to gain information through means other than his human senses, which is known as clairvoyance. His brain is able to detect and analyze brain waves through the skulls of other living creatures using x-ray perception to pass any biological barriers. He also has great ability with technology, using his inventive and innovative mind to create technology unparalleled in this world. Johnny’s brain can also sense the presence of objects he has “locked onto” (dowsing) and he can give an approximate location of these due to the changes in the gravitational field acting upon the object.

Superhero

The Sarge has exemplary military training in hand-to-hand combat as well as in the use of military weaponry and technology. This information was intensified due to experiments including shocks of electricity through the brain to excite the neurons. He has super strength due to an increased and steady amount of adrenaline in his body as well as amphetamine. The heaviest he can lift is the weight of an Orca Whale (25 tons). He can hold this weight for no longer than ten seconds.

Super villain

Hazmat has the ability to engineer radioactive and poisonous gasses and liquids; he uses his gun to project these gasses or liquids. He has also created a suit modeled after the gas suits of WWI and WWII in order to protect himself from the poisonous materials with which he works. This suit also allows him elevated strength and durability. However, due to long exposure to radioactive materials, he is radioactive himself.

Superhero

Lockjaw was given iron appendages in order to save his brittle bones from continually breaking. These iron appendages give him super strength and the ability to lift the weight of up to a standard tank (84 tons). He can also use his strength to propel himself up the sides of buildings with his arms and legs. In order to gain energy, he has the ability to unhook his jaw and consume metals of all types. Due to the excessive amounts of metal in his diet, the metal atoms have created an almost “exo-skeleton” around his body, giving him tough skin.

Main powers: Magnetism, bronze infused bonesSecondary powers: Bomb expertiseWeakness: SteelArch enemy: Lockjaw

Super villain

The Bronze Butler was exposed to a great amount of electromagnetic energy at a very young age. He learned how to move electrons in order to create currents and a magnetic field. He can create a metal field of 700 Tesla, but he cannot sustain this for longer than 10 seconds due to the amount of energy it requires. His standard use of magnetism is enough to pull a car from 100 meters away. He was also taught about bomb making at an early age in order to prepare for the war; he can fashion bombs out of almost nothing. His bronze bones allow him to withstand the creation of strong magnetic fields without affecting his physical abilities.

CONNECTIONS

• How is everyone related?• Madame Marionette was the daughter of the ringmaster of a travelling circus.

Bronze Butler was her secret lover and the butler to her father. Lockjaw was the strong man in the circus, openly flirting with Madame and trying to convince her father to let him have her hand in marriage. The ringmaster found out about the Butler and Madame and attacked the Butler; Madame killed her father after a quick realization of her powers in order to save the Butler. She and the Butler ran away after setting the circus on fire; Lockjaw got caught in the blaze and had to be rescued, but not after he lost parts of his body to the fire. These lost body parts were reconstructed using a mix of iron and steel, granting him his powers.

• Sarge and Hazmat were working on the same military base in Austria during WWII. Hazmat was an Austrian born scientist performing tests on new ability enhancing drugs while Sarge was high in command of a small task force of American soldiers. After months of failed experiments and soldier deaths, Sarge decided to cut all funding to Hazmat’s research and told him to stop all experiments and leave the base. Hazmat went crazy, exposing a secret suit and set of weapons that he had been perfecting over the last year. He used this suit to overpower Sarge and perform cruel experiments containing electroshock therapy in order to try and murder him. However, Hazmat was stopped before killing Sarge and was taken into custody. Years later, he escaped. As a result of the electric shocks, Sarge’s fighting skills were enhanced beyond human ability.

CONNECTIONS CONT.

• How is everyone related?• Vis and Vox are twin sisters from the planet of Malanorae. They were separated

at birth and Vis went to live with their father while Vox went to live with their mother. Vis grew up in the futuristic half of Malanorae (New Malanorae) where there is a big emphasis put on scientific discovery, achievement, and innovation. Vox grew up in Old Malanorae, which focused on the preservation and appreciation of cultures of the past from many different worlds, including Earth. These cultures included the ancient Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Chinese, Japanese, Mayan, and Aztec civilizations as well as many others from many different worlds. The two sisters knew of each others’ existences but never met until the day of their eighteenth birthdays.

• Masquerado and Voodoo Queen were betrothed to be engaged in the 1940s in New Orleans, Louisiana. There was a secret attack from undercover Japanese spies on the large plantation of which Voodoo Queen was the heir; it was in the middle of a masquerade ball, therefore forcing the attendees of the party to flee into the swamps surrounding the large manor. The Japanese used nuclear weaponry; the waste of this weaponry contaminated the surrounding swamps. This toxic waste led to Voodoo Queen’s development of her powers and cross with the American Alligator (by which she was attacked in the swamp while trying to escape) as well as Masquerado’s powers.

MADAME MARIONETTE’S LIFT

• Madame Marionette lifted up Sarge using telekinesis. How much power was there in the lift?

• Assumed weight of 5’11” male soldier: 180 lbs (US Military about.com)

• Assumed mass: 81.647 kg• While standing still, only the normal force and the force of gravity are

acting on the Sarge. They are equal to each other because he is not moving up nor down. When she lifts him, the normal force disappears and the lifting force (FL is used)

• FL = FG

• Therefore, in order to lift the Sarge, Madame Marionette must lift with a force greater than the force of gravity. Assuming she lifts him 3 meters off the ground (change in y = 3m) in the span of .4 seconds, that would give us an acceleration of 18.75 m/s2, assuming an abrupt stop at exactly 3 meters high.

• F = ma = mg + F1 = 18.75(81.647) = 1530.881 Newtons• Work = Force (distance) = 1530.881(3 meters) = 4592.643 Joules• Power = work/time = 4592.643/.4 seconds = 11481.608 Watts

VIS’S PLASMA CREATION

• Vis heats up water kept in her plasma guns to a point at which it vaporizes then becomes plasma in the form of lasers. How much power do the guns have?• The gun takes 5 seconds to heat from the kept temperature (4 degrees

Kelvin) to the heat of plasma in laser form. It holds a cylinder (with radius of 1.8 cm and height/length of 30 cm)

• Heat of plasma in laser form: 106 degrees Kelvin) and keeps the water at a constant 277 degrees Kelvin (4 degrees Celsius).

• Change in temperature: 9.997 x 105 degrees Kelvin• Mass of water (277 degrees Kelvin): 340.234 grams• Specific heat (at 277 degrees Kelvin): 4.185 Joules/gram• Q (heat energy added) = mass (specific heat) change in temperature• Q = 2.496 x 1010 Joules • Power = energy / time = 4.992 x 109 Watts
