Jelly Bean Activity
Directions1. Give each student a Jelly Bean grid
and 4 jelly beans or manipulative of choice.
2. Read the story. Have the students move the jelly beans to the Who, What, When, Where elements that are presented in the story.
3. Once the story is completed, match the students’ grids to the grid beside the story for correct answers.

Sunday
Tom was determined to find all the eggs this year during the egg hunt. When Tom went outside to
practice it was raining. He was so disappointed that he wouldn’t get to practice before the big hunt.
Mom and Dad decided to take advantage of the sunny day and head to the park. They invited their entire
family to have a picnic. They had had lots of food, and everyone had a great day!
Grandma and Grandpa took a vacation to Hawaii. They did so many fun things there. On Sunday, they went to the beach, they said they had never seen anything so
beautiful.
On Sunday, Ethan went to a Spring party. The party was at his sisters school. The party had good food, dancing,
craft tables and an egg hunt.
When the rain had stopped, and the sun was shinning the Jones family had an easter egg hunt in the park. The kids were so excited to find all the eggs hidden in the
grass.
The night before spring break, the family had a picnic in their backyard. The kids were so excited to be celebrating the last day of school before break.
