SENIOR CAMPAIGNERS FOR NEW EUROPEAN
ONLINE CAMPAIGNING ORGANISATION.

ABOUT US
Online organising has emerged as a powerful tool to leverage
mass activism in campaigning.
Organisations like MoveOn, Campact and 38 Degrees are helping
millions of citizens to get their
voices heard for a more progressive, sustainable, just and
democratic world.
With the EU in crisis, its time for an effective progressive
online campaigning organization at the
European level and we have decided to start one, with the
somewhat cryptic and nerdy working
title A2. With the initial funding secured, we are now working
towards a launch in early 2015
and we are looking for people to join our team.
Youd be joining founding director Oliver Moldenhauer, networking
& operations assistant Simona
Murec, and a growing group of supporters, including German and
British online campaigning
groups Campact.de and 38degrees.org.uk and many individuals.

SENIOR CAMPAIGNERS: FRANCE, ITALY, SPAIN, POLAND,
ROMANIA
ABOUT THE ROLE
You are in charge of networking, policy analysis and campaigning
for one or more country(s) and
language(s). As part of the Europe-wide campaigning team you
will take part in the political
decisions of our organisations and shape A2 for the years to
come.
Your tasks will include
Developing and leading campaigns of A2
Policy monitoring and research with a focus on your context but
also including EU-
wide processes & identification of campaign
opportunities
Building relations with our partners in NGOs and movements
Working on the overall political strategy
Media work
Fundraising (private donations and grant proposals)
Organising offline actions like demonstrations, petition
handovers etc.
Adapting texts for your countrys reality and language(s)
ABOUT YOU
You are a strategic political thinker and an effective agent for
political change, you have passion
and commitment to our values and you excel in communicating them
- as a public speaker, in
meetings, in the media and with your outstanding written
expression.
You
have several years of experience with political campaigning
are happy to work in an exciting startup environment, with all
its opportunities
and uncertainties
can represent A2 in one or more country(s)
are well networked nationally and regionally
have great writing skills (e. g. in Spanish, French, Polish,
Italian, Romanian)
are fluent in English to a degree that you can work in an
English-speaking
environment and can translate from English into your primary
working language(s)
are quick to understand new software tools
are happy with extensive travel in Europe and flexible working
hours
are comfortable with public speaking, e. g., at local rallies or
in front of a camera
are open to work in an intercultural, decentralised team

Additionally, the following skills / experiences would be a
plus:
Online campaigning
Statistics / Data analytics
Additional European languages
Street actions & protests
Social media use
Lobbying of decision makers
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This is a full time position for an initial contract duration of
12 months, starting as soon as
possible. (Our fundraising has already been successful enough to
cover the positions for this
period of time.)
As we are building a virtual organization, this position will be
based at a home office or co-working
space of your choice in the EU. The salary for this position
will be a competitive wage as
compared to a local salary in NGO sector.
We are striving towards a good gender-balance in our team.

who do not come from a country where we already have staff
(Germany and Slovenia).
We do not share the implicit belief that online campaigners have
to be very young and encourage
also people who left their twenties and thirties behind to
