REQUIREMENTS a. The applicant (the parent or the student) should be a member of KJB for at least 3 continuous years or more at the time of submitting the application. b. The applicant must have a subscription credit of RM 1,200.00 or more on the closing date of the award application. c. The child of a member deceased within 3 years from the time of applying for the award and who meets the requirement mentioned in a. and b. above can apply for the award. d. The applicant should be a member in benefit (not in arrears of dues for more than 3 months) at the time of submitting the application. e. The student should have passed the following subjects: i) UPSR or equivalent, PT3 or equivalent– Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Inggeris and Matematik and should have secured a minimum of 2As.SPM/IGCSE-O level/CBBS/GCE-O Level – Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Inggeris and Matematik and should have secured a minimum 1A+ or 1A or 1A-. ii) STPM/IGCSE-A Level /GCE-A Level – should have secured a minimum of secured a minimum of 1A or 1A-- or 1B. f. The child of a member who is aged below 18 years should be a depositor in the KJB Special Deposit (Child) Scheme for Minors and a child above 18 years of age should be a member, at the time of submitting the application for the award. STPM/IGCSE A Level/GCE-A Level student must have been a member for a continuous period of at least 6(six) months at the time of submitting the application. g. SPM Level students eligible for the Sir George Maxwell Scholarship award given by the Midlands Cooperative Union must apply for it and the Board of KJB shall credit the sum awarded to the JCS Thamby Thurai Educational Fund. 2. Grades for PT3 Bahasa Malaysia Oral and English Oral are not being considered. 3. PHOTOGRAPHS: The KJB reserves the right not to publish the photograph, which is non-returnable. 4. APPLICATION FORM The application form overleaf should be correctly completed. The following documents must be attached: a. A photocopy of the birth certificate (for UPSR or equivalent students) and the identity card (for PT3 or equivalent, SPM or equivalent and STPM or equivalent students) b. A photocopy of the result slip duly certified by the school. c. The last date for submitting the application form to the KJB office is: UPSR or equivalent & PT3 or equivalent - 31st January 2020/2021 SPM or equivalent & STPM or equivalent - 15th May 2020/2021 LATE SUBMISSIONS AND APPLICATIONS WHICH DO NOT MEET THE CONDITIONS WILL BE REJECTED AND THE NAMES AND PHOTOGRAPHS WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED.
