3rd Annual “Your Opportunity” Female Sale
Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 12:30 PMWest Point Livestock • West Point, Nebraska
J&C Simmentals welcomes you to the 3rd annual “Your Opportunity” Female Sale, West Point Livestock, West Point, Nebraska beginning at 12:30 p.m. Offering our best females in the fall gives the youth a chance to get our best show heifers and genetics while other buyers can plan for the new year with our bred heifers, cows and embryos.
Brother John made a special stop to the bull farm in 1974 and suggested we start using Simmental semen on the Angus cows. Been raising Simmentals ever since – thanks, John. We are very proud of the open heifers in this sale. They are the best we have offered and include all of the State Fair show heifers. You will find quality in all divisions in this sale. The cattle business looks great for the cow/calf operators and cattle feeders. It appears possession of these cattle is most important this fall as prices continue to be stable and on the rise.
All cattle will be at the sale site and available for viewing on Friday, December 2nd and sale day, Saturday, December 3rd, 2011. Come to the sale or bid online at lmaauctions.com. Call 402.372-2493 if you have any problems getting onto the web site.
The 17th annual J&C Bull Sale with guest consignors will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the same great facility, West Point Livestock. Percentage to Purebred - 120 bulls with 110 black, 10 red and some fall bulls too. All bulls are at Jay’s place – 2.25 miles east of Arlington on Highway 30. We look forward to discussing your cattle needs, call us anytime!

• This red heifer by Hardcore has a ton of cow potential. She has a really big middle with lots of eye appeal and growth. She’s the widest tracking heifer at J&C.
• Don’t overlook this lot. This female is royally bred, the Candace cow family has been consistent in producing top selling females from coast to coast.
• By Sandeen’s Crowd Pleaser and out of a hybrid cow at J&C that is ½ SM 3/8 AN and ¼ Maine. This dam has both Blackman and BF Toolman in her pedigree. This heifer was the Champion Feeder Heifer at the 2011 Washington County Fair and 10th Overall in the Nebraska State Fair Breeding Heifer Jackpot. She was 2nd in open class to the calf champion owned by Wayne and Barb Ohlrichs at the 2011 NE State Fair. This fancy black baldy has the look and has many admirers. She is super fronted, moderate framed and has plenty of thickness. You can’t miss with this heifer – she’s already a proven show winner and top placer.

She is long and clean fronted with a square hip. 140Y is deep bodied and when she is on the move she is very sound. She will make a great show prospect and go on to be a great cow. The dam’s bull calf sold last year for $5,400. Her dam just never misses, and I don’t think this one will either. Her sire, Felt First Class now reigns at Bushy Park Farms and was crowned the Grand Champion Sim-Solutions bull in Louisville 3 years ago.
