BC Geological Survey Assessment Report 31971
SUMMARY
The following assessment report describes fieldwork and analytical results completed at the Claire
Property, located approximately 20 kilometres south of Revelstoke BC on the north fork of Blanket
Creek. The 1 day fieldwork program was completed by TerraLogic Exploration Inc. of Cranbrook BC,
on behalf of the client partnership between Zimtu Capital Corp. (50%), and Cazador Resources Ltd. /
Cathro Resources Corp. (50%). As of December 15th, 2010 the property and 6 other REE-Nb
properties were optioned out by Zimtu Capital Corp to First Gold Exploration Inc.
Regionally the area is underlain by high-grade paragneisses of the Monashee Group, specifically
biotite-feldspar-quartz gneisses to the south and quartzite (qurartz arenite) units to the north. A number
of unnkown granitoid stocks are noted to the north and west of the property area and quartz-feldspar-
mica pegmatite sills and dykes are commonly intercalated/intruded with the various paragneisses.
The primary goal of the 2010 field program was to identify the source of the highly elevated total REE
result from an RGS sample collected on the north fork of Blanket Creek. It is believed that the
pegmatites in the area, or alkaline intrusions similar to those at Mount Copeland may exist in the
property area. Emphasis of the field work was placed on obtaining reliable silt samples. The crew
consisted of two geologists (Jarrod Brown M.Sc., P.Geo., Michelle McKeough, B.Sc.) and two
technical staff (Glen Hendrickson B.Sc., Nathan Taylor). In all, a total of 2 person-field-days and 2
person-days of logistical support were spent on the Claire claim and resulted in the collection of 6
stream silt samples. Total expenditures at the Claire Property for 2010 were $8701.51
Weather conditions prevented heli-access above 1500 m AMSL on the field day at the Claire. Access
to the bowl of the main drainage below this elevation allowed for good silt coverage. Some limited
outcrop exposure was explored in the bluffs at the base of several waterfalls (sillimanite bearing biotite
gneiss with 0.2-1 m white granitic sills containing trace tourmaline), but no anomalous mineralized
rock was encountered at this elevation.
Results for the 6 silt samples averaged 456 ppm TREE (total rare earth elements) and 19 ppm Nb with
respective maximum values of 723 ppm TREE and 41.3 ppm Nb. Average and peak values are low
relative to most other properties Zimtu properties examined in SE BC in 2010. Despite the marginal
results, the areas draining the original RGS anomaly have yet to be adequately assessed. Additional silt
sampling and prospecting is recommended with a proposed budget of $14,889.00.
The main drainage sample at 1240 m AMSL (JBCRS001) did not detect appreciable anomalies of
either REEs or Nb, shedding a negative light on the property as a whole. However, much terrane above
this elevation remains to be explored. The lake at 1960 m AMSL could act as a local barrier to heavy
minerals so areas proximal to- and above the lake should see additional sampling and prospecting.
The original RGS anomaly near the southeastern limit of the property remains unexplained. Tributaries
draining into Blanket Creek between the RGS silt sample near 1200 m AMSL, and sample JBCRS001
at 1240 m AMSL have yet to be silt-stream sampled and prospected as well.
Recommendations for the property are as follows:
Heli-Silting program
10 sq km @ 0.4 samps/ sq km = 5 silt samples
10 samples/ heli hour = 0.5 heli-hours
=0.5 person-days
Prospecting/Mapping
1 days x 4 persons = 4 person days
=15 rock samples + 15 silt samples
=1.2 heli-hours
Recon soil geochem program
not required until anomalous silts or rocks are located
Channel sampling and mapping
not required until anomalous rocks are located
Airborne radiometric survey
not required until anomalous silts or rocks are located
TOTALS: person-days: 4.5
Heli-hours: 1.8
Samples: 35
= $14,889.87
