January 23, 2009 Manuel Hernández Berlín President of Firma Corporativa Calle 37 No. 521 62-A y 64 Centro C.P. 97000 Mérida, Yucatán Dear Mr. Hernández Berlin, We understand that you have been granted exclusive rights to exhibit 36 mummies from the Museo de las Momias de Guanajuato in the United States. We also understand that you entered into an agreement with Eternal Preservation Associates, LLC, (“EPA”) to give EPA a three-year exclusive right to market, promote and present a touring exhibition of the Momias de Guanajuato in the United States. The Detroit Science Center (“DSC”), one of the ten largest science centers in the United States, is partnering with EPA to create the touring exhibition and to present it in Detroit, Michigan. We see this as a rare and wonderful opportunity to build a spectacular exhibit and create a cross-cultural alliance. We look forward to working with you and building a relationship between the DSC and EPA, on the one hand, and Manuel Andres Hernandez Berlin, his company Firma Corporativo, El Museo de las Momias and the City of Guanajuato, on the other hand. The Detroit Science Center would be honored and privileged to create this exhibition. We are deeply committed to ensuring the mummies are presented with dignity and respect for their unique culture and heritage. We will, of course, want to recognize the City of Guanajuato as we understand the mummies are an important part of Mexican culture and are considered cultural patrimony. Thank you for your consideration of our request. Sincerely, Kevin F. Prihod President & CEO Detroit Science Center
