Principals Corner Mrs. Jacqueline Russell I always speak of how time is flying and now I am saying, “Time has flown”. While 2017 brought many great memories, I know that 2018 will be even better. I hope winter break was spent enjoying time with family and friends ad making special memories. I hope students received some educational gifts to support our educational mission. It is truly time to buckle our belts and push hard towards the finish line. We are now in semester 2 and time will really fly. We will be busy trying to make sure students are mastering skills that we know they’ll be faced with on our biggest state-wide assessment late March. With your support, I know we’ll be ready. Please make sure your child is reading nightly.  Ask your child to summarize what they have read.  Have them read to you or to a younger sibling.  Practice makes everything better.  The more we read, the more we know, the more we know, the further we go!  Let’s make semester 2 better than semester 1!

Character Word of the Month“CARING”Every month Humboldt encourages our students to display actions that represent the character word of the month. This month students were expected to show acts of “Caring”. Teachers picked the top two students from their class and they are featured on our Wall of Character and in our newsletter. We encourage these words as a way to teach students the importance of character in everyday life!

Dear Parents“A Note To Parents”Humboldt Academy is a part of the magnet program, therefore attending our school is a privilege. All student’s attendance should be perfect. If a student is sick or has scheduled appointments, documentation regarding your child’s absence is required. Students should not miss numerous days consecutively. We can all reach our greatest potential, together!
