Students’ Mental Health Day is an annual
event to focus efforts aimed at promoting the
mental health of people who live and work in
Higher Education settings.
The theme this year is ‘Voices’ – from the
experience of hearing voices, to making your
voice heard by talking about personal
experience of mental health and wellbeing.
We want to help reduce stigma by making
the University community more aware that
mental health difficulties are common – and
that there are things everyone can do to
improve their mental health.
This year we are asking our supporters to
wear something green on the 19th of
February!
For more information go to: www.umhan.com
Photography competition We all know five fruit and veg a day keeps us physically healthy but what about doing five
things a day to help us stay mentally healthy?
Five-a-day is a list of things you can do to keep mentally healthy. We are asking you to capture
one of your five-a-day on camera to demonstrate what helps you stay mentally healthy.
Five–a–day:
1) Communicate with people around you
2) Do something active
3) Catch sight of the beautiful and take notice of the world
4) Learn something new
5) Do something nice for someone or yourself
Send your photos to [email protected] along with your name, student number and a short
description of which of the five a day you have captured.
The overall winner will receive a £20 grocery voucher and a certificate.
All entries will be displayed and judged at the Mental Health Day event on the 19th of February
in the Students’ Union as well as being published in The Worcester Source.
