Janet Fish Born May 18, 1938 in Boston, Massachusetts. Her father was a professor of art history and her mother a sculptor and potter. In addition, her sister is a photographer, her grandfather a painter, and her uncle a wood carver. She attended Smith College for sculpture and printmaking. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree she attended the Yale University School of Art and Architecture for three years, changing her focus to painting.
