We learned by our speaker, Kim Brainard, that movement trumps sitting, talking trumps listening, images trump words, writing trumps reading, shorter trumps long, and different trumps same. Our state president, Eileen Little, joined us for our eventful meeting. Thanks for those members that volunteered for a position in 2020-2022, As we know, we are still seeking a president. I have enjoyed my almost four years. In order for us to continue, it is important that someone takes the position. Remember, we discussed two people could consider a co-president position. We welcome our new member, Laura Young. Merry Christmas! Leadership Seminar for members and incoming Chapter Presidents will be different this year. The leadership committee shared the idea of having the Leadership Seminar in connec- tion with State Convention. Incoming Chapter Presi- dents would be invited to come to State College on Thursday, June 11, 2020 for a meet & greet at 7:00PM. Then Friday, June 12, 2020 their day would include breakfast, a morning session, lunch and an afternoon session ending at 4:00PM. PA State would pay for ½ of their room on Thursday evening, and breakfast and lunch on Friday. During the Saturday workshop sessions at State Convention there would be training during the morning and afternoon. Thus, Incoming Chapter Presidents would receive 10 ½ hours of training (ACT 48 hours available). We are thinking that combining Leadership Seminar/ Incoming Chapter Presidents training with State Convention would be more convenient to busy schedules. Incoming Chapter Presidents would regis- ter for State Convention and there would be a sepa- rate registration for their Leadership training. It is the hope that more Incoming Chapter Presidents would be available to attend. December 18 Anita Schulze 27 Beverly Utz 31 Esther Sanders January 7 Gretchen Mackey 9 Jane LeVan 21 Jennifer Kane
