John 14:66Jesus answered,I amthe wayand the truthand the life.No one comes to the Father except through me.John 17:1717Sanctify them by[a]the truth; your word is truth.

Revelation 22:18-19 18I warn everyone who hears the prophetic words in this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,19and if anyone takes away from the words in this prophetic book, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city described in this book.

BELIEVE AND OBEY 2 Kings 5:1-162 Kings 5:1

Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram.He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him theLordhad given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy.[a]

2 Kings 5:22Now bands of raidersfrom Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naamans wife.

2 Kings 5:33She said to her mistress, If only my master would see the prophetwho is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.

2 Kings 5:4-74Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said.5By all means, go, the king of Aram replied. I will send a letter to the king of Israel. So Naaman left, taking with him ten talents[a]of silver, six thousand shekels[b]of gold and ten sets of clothing.6The letter that he took to the king of Israel read: With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy.7As soon as the king of Israel read the letter,he tore his robes and said, Am I God?Can I kill and bring back to life? Why does this fellow send someone to me to be cured of his leprosy? See how he is trying to pick a quarrelwith me!

2 Kings 5:88When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his robes, he sent him this message: Why have you torn your robes? Have the man come to me and he will know that there is a prophetin Israel.

2 Kings 5:9-119So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elishas house.10Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, Go, washyourself seven timesin the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.11But Naaman went away angry and said, I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of theLordhis God, wave his handover the spot and cure me of my leprosy.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4The Resurrection of Christ15Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospelI preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.2By this gospel you are saved,if you hold firmlyto the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.3For what I receivedI passed on to youas of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sinsaccording to the Scriptures,4that he was buried, that he was raisedon the third dayaccording to the Scriptures,

Acts 2:12-1312Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, What does this mean?13Some, however, made fun of them and said, They have had too much wine.

2 Corinthians 11:14-1514And no wonder, for Satanhimself masquerades as an angel of light.15It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.II

John 12:4848There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn themat the last day.1 Corinthians 3:55What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believeas the Lord has assigned to each his task.

2 Kings 5:1313Naamans servants went to him and said, My father,if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, Wash and be cleansed!

2 Kings 5:1212Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the watersof Israel? Couldnt I wash in them and be cleansed? So he turned and went off in a rage.

2 Kings 5:1414So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times,as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restoredand became clean like that of a young boy.2 Kings 5:1515Then Naaman and all his attendants went back to the man of God. He stood before him and said, Now I knowthat there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a giftfrom your servant.

2 Kings 5:1616The prophet answered, As surely as theLordlives, whom I serve, I will not accept a thing. And even though Naaman urged him, he refused.

Matthew 6:3333But seek first his kingdomand his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

But seek ye first the Kingdomof God ! BELIEVE and OBEY and all these things..........Seek Ye First Christian FellowshepLORDS MESSAGE : BELIEVE AND OBEY Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Matthew records these words as the final explicit instructions of Jesus before he ascended to heaven. This passage is called the Great Commission because it is the foundation for our missionary outreach. But if going is a part of the Great Commission and if making disciples is a part of the Great Commission and if teaching is a part of the Great Commission, then so is baptizing.

Notice the logical progression. We go and spread the gospel. In our witnessing we will make disciples. We are to baptize those disciples and then teach them to obey the words of Jesus. Baptism is part and parcel of Jesus's command to the church. It is fundamental to our mission in the world.

Put simplybaptism is a clear command of Jesus Christ. We obey him when we baptize and we disobey him when we don't. Believe and Obey

John 3:3-53Jesus replied,Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.[a]4How can someone be born when they are old? Nicodemus asked. Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mothers womb to be born!5Jesus answered,Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.

Acts 2:3838Peter replied, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.Acts 1:88But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;and you will be my witnessesin Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

John 1:12-1312Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believedin his name,he gave the right to become children of God13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husbands will, but born of God.Ephesians 5:2626to make her holy, cleansing[a]her by the washingwith water through the word,John 14:66Jesus answered,I amthe wayand the truthand the life.No one comes to the Father except through me.
