OVERVIEW A typographic redesign of a classic novel, repackaged as a trade paper-back for a younger, high school and college-aged audience. The interior of the book was typeset to create a comprehensive design, inside and out, that reflects the content.

OVERVIEW A poster and postcard using simple illustration and typography announcing a clandestine-themed orientation day for the Sacra-mento State Graphic Design Program. The poster size is organic to the content and the same look and feel is applied to a postcard that was to be mailed in an envelope to students attending the event.

OVERVIEW An informative booklet about the solar system using experimental typography on the cover. The effect was achieved by sprinkling flour on a black background and adjusting the zoom lense during a long exposure photograph. The process was repeated for interior illustrations giving the appearance of star clusters.

THEATER POSTCARDSPHANTOM
OVERVIEW A pair of postcards advertising a production of Andrew Lloyd Web-ber’s the Phantom of the Opera. Layered photos of paper arrange-ments were used to communicate an atmosphere that conveys the theme of the musical. The two postcard designs share the same reverse which contains safe areas for shipping in the US.

OVERVIEW An identity system designed for the fictional Chaw’se Association, an organization representing a Miwok tribe that oversees the Indi-an Grinding Rock State Park in California. Pieces included a logo, a stationary system and a brochure. The mark was based on the coyote, the trickster and creator of man, from Miwok mythology.
