SSR Report- J V Jain College, Saharanpur Page 1
J V Jain College decided in Oct 2011 to invite national assessment ant accreditation council (NAAC) for accreditation process. The process began by selecting a team of faculty members from various faculties, who were involved in various activities of the college. The team comprise of coordinators and various members. After submitting a letter of Intent a core team of seven members was appointed who have to work with various faculties. The choice of team was based on their interpersonal skills and ability to complete the work effectively through various cross sectional
teams in a specified time frame.
The team studies the entire process by reading NAAC publication, newsletters and talking to various institutes who have conducting NAAC accreditation process successfully. Committee delivers presentations to all the departmental Heads and other office bearers. This was aimed to make everyone aware about the enormity of the entire job and create the feeling in their mind that the impending paper work is not a waste of time. A steering committee was formed of Seven Members to look into criterion wise input and criterion wise Evaluative report. These steering committee members were ably supported by department’s heads and coordinators of various committees in college. The entire work was planned and responsibilities were given. The entire information was compiled during various meetings and first draft of self study report was prepared. This was again checked and discussed at various levels and final SSR emerged.
During this process the various activities of college passed through the guidelines provided by NAAC. Through this process we were able to look at our strength, weakness, the opportunities and threats objectively. We at J V Jain College look forward for the visit of the PEER team of NAAC and exchange of Ideas with the team of experts from NAAC. We look forward to improving further to benefit to all the stakeholders, the students/faculty/ academician/ industries / Alumini and society at large.

notice boards & is available to students through university website. The
concerned faculty explains evaluation methods to the students. They are made
well aware before the examinations (Internal & External) of the evaluation
methods which are communicated personally as well as through notice board.
All the letters, circular, ordinance regarding examination & decision regarding
evaluation are brought to the notice of faculty.

also writes to university about the problem of students regarding examination
as & when they arise.
College Evaluation System: The college has a systematic mechanism for
redressal of grievances with reference to evaluation. The teachers discuss in
