The highest priced home sold in each market traded on average 19 percent less than their original asking prices, compared to 14 percent less in 2014, indicating growing disparity between seller and buyer expectations.
Properties at low luxury price points reached close to their original asking price—homes in the $1-3 million range on average sold for six percent below their original list price, based on a survey of more than 250 agents from the Christie’s International Real Estate worldwide network (See Exhibit 8).
