IVO Foundation: History and culture• Founded in 1976 by Professor Antonio Llombart Rodríguez• The Valencian Institute of Oncology Foundation is a private non-profit
organization created to: – Give assistance to patients suffering from cancer– Promote disease prevention– Development of research activity and teaching– Training of medical oncologists and related specialties
• Main events in the history of IVO- 1978: Foundation - Accreditation for Teaching Graduate- Accreditation for Clinical Research - Participation in international organizations (EORTC, OECI ..)- Construction of new buildings (now 4) - Expansion to other cities and regions
