FROM THE SYMPOSIUM DIRECTORS
Dear colleagues,
It is a great pleasure to invite you to the “IV Florence International Symposium on Advances in Cardiomyopathies”, to be held in Florence on the 2nd and 3rd of April 2020. As in the previous editions held in 2008, 2012 and 2015, the course is designed to constantly promote close interaction between basic science and clinical practice, in an attempt to address the topic in a truly global fashion. Novel options such as next generation sequencing gene testing, innovative pharmacological approaches and the subcutaneous ICD will be discussed. It is hoped that the broad range of topics will attract the interest of a wide audience, including physicians, clinical researchers, cardiologists, pathologists, basic scientists, and young investigators. A wide and open discussion among all the participants is welcome. We hope that the Symposium will be extremely productive, providing with an opportunity to improve our understanding of this challenging area of expertise and to stimulate further research into the field.
We look forward to welcoming you in Florence next April.
Arrivederci a Firenze !!
Iacopo OlivottoFranco Cecchi
