iSCAN is an automated image optimization process usinguser-available controls (gain, TGC, compression). iSCANoptimizes the image each time the Iscan button ispressed. The purpose of iSCAN is global imageoptimization.

AGC is a signal processing technique that dynamicallyadjusts the gain of every sample in real time. AGC runscontinuously when activated. The purpose of AGC isdynamic correction of localized gain artifacts.
