Itinerary 1:

Taormina – Siracusa – Noto – Ragusa – Modica – Catania – Mt Etna

3 nights in Taormina - 3 nights in Noto – 2 nights in Zafferana Etnea (Catania)

DAY 1

Arrive at Catania Airport. Meet your driver after Baggage Claim. Your driver will take you to check into

your Hotel in Taormina (3 nights):

DAY 2

Relax in Taormina

or

Godfather Tour on board of a 500 Fiat:

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and drive a Fiat 500 to Savoca. Enjoy a walking tour of the town,

admiring The Godfather’s set with typical streets and the famous Bar Vitelli.

DAY 3

Etna Wineries and Alcantara Canyon:

Meet your driver in the hotel lobby and start your journey to Mt. Etna wineries and Alcantara Canyon.

We can arrange a visit of “Tenuta delle Terre Nere” in Randazzo and “Cantine Palmento Costanzo” (or

“Planeta Sciaranuova”) where you can have a great wine tasting and a light lunch. In the afternoon you

will discover a unique canyon composed of basaltic lava (the “Alcantara” Gorges) and shaped by the

waters of the Alcantara river.

DAY 4

Transfer to Noto and Tour of Siracusa on your way to Noto:

Meet your driver in the main lobby, depart from Taormina and arrive to Siracusa. Meet your guide in the

main entrance of Siracusa's Archeological Park. Siracusa was considered the largest and most important

Greek city of the Sicilian colonies and history left behind some amazing ruins like the Temple of Athena,

incorporated into the main Cathedral whose Baroque façade betrays what lies within.

On the Ortigia island walk the narrow streets of the Giudecca, the ancient Jewish quarter. Enjoy your

lunch at one of the local trattorias in the old town. Then continue to Noto and check into your hotel (3

nights):

DAY 5

Discovering Noto:

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and enjoy a walking tour through the elegant streets and the

baroque buildings. After your tour, meet your driver and reach Zisola Winery for a wine tasting and

lunch.

DAY 6

Modica & Ragusa:

Today, meet with your driver in the hotel lobby and you are off for your visit of the stunning Baroque

cities of Modica and Ragusa, 2 of the 3 major UNESCO World Heritage Cities in the area. Modica is

known for its Baroque buildings (like the Cathedral of St. George) and for the chocolate-making

factories. Ragusa Ibla, the old town, is home to many Baroque buildings, like the Duomo di San Giorgio,

a grand church with paintings and stained-glass windows.

There are sweeping views from the Giardino Ibleo, a public park with churches and fountains.

Return in Noto in the late afternoon.

DAY 7

Transfer to Zafferana Etnea (Catania) and Catania city tour:

After breakfast, meet with your driver in the hotel lobby and head to Catania. Meet your guide in

Catania and enjoy a visit of the “black city”, because of the lava stone. Start your tour from the Duomo,

walking through one of the oldest fish market of the Mediterranean: la Pescheria.

At the end of the tour, your driver will drop you off at Monaci delle Terre Nere in Zafferana Etnea (one

of the small village on Mt Etna) where you will stay for the last 2 nights.

Enjoy your free day at Monaci delle Terre Nere and select one of the many experiences they can offer

during your stay!

DAY 9

Meet your driver in the hotel lobby. He will take you to Catania International Airport.
