We will be a host church once again this year, which means we will be providing water, lunch (Tuesday–Friday), snacks and Wednesday night supper to a World Changers Team. FROM THE PASTORS DESK JUNE, 2014

Mother’s Day was a joyous day here at EMBC, I’m truly thankful for the MOMS today who are living for Jesus! Our dedication service for three of our children was a special moment of parents and the Church body partnering and committing together to raise our children under the umbrella of God’s love and Word. As we plunge into the various activities of VBS, Children & Youth Camps, and World Changers, join me in prayer that each event will proclaim the good news that JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE ! I was privileged to attend a Pastors Conference in mid-May at the Billy Graham Training Center called: The COVE, near Ashville N.C. The Lord spoke many things to me that week and I came home with a new commitment toward prayer. Jesus spoke these words in Matthew 21:13—“My house shall be called a house of prayer”. EMBC is blessed to have some mighty “prayer warriors”, and yes we do PRAY! However, I believe there is room for growth in the area of being a ‘house of prayer’. “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God”. [Romans 8:26—27]. Our Deacon body is in the process of updating our present membership roll, so please contact the Church office for any change of address, phone, or membership status. We have been in the process of updating the Church’s Facebook account, so check us out as we are striving to use this as another tool for connecting with you and being a source of encouragement.

your support through the chickens and ribs. We have

the best cooks in Owensboro! We will be having a

parent/camper meeting very soon please watch weekly

bulletin for more information.

Please continue to pray for our graduates as they

finish this phase of life and move onto the next; Bailey

Boone (high school), Ashlyn Crabtree (high school) and

Rebecca Simon (college).

Inflatables, Games, Hot Dogs, and Chips! Invite your

friends and family to come on out and enjoy!

June 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th are the VBS nights from 6-

8pm.

We will provide transportation to anyone that needs it.

Just have them call the church or contact me.
